PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, MONDAY JULY 19, 2021) — THE PLANET‘s clock says it’s time to clean out the tickle file, which happens when the funny bone fronts the eye tooth.

Fictive — A good friend reminded us recently to be a “keeper of the flame,” a reference to Cormac McCarthy’s novel The Road. We shall endeavor.

Garbage In, Garbage In — Why can’t Pittsfield deal in a responsible, trustworthy manner regarding parking and trash, two eternal problems for Shire City? Recall 2017 when mayor Linda gave Covanta $562,000 of Kapanski Kash so the money-losing company could get “profitable.” Right. A PLANET commentator put it best: “Another Tyer Mo’ money give away gone south. $562,000 given to a company that immediately sold the property, took the profits, and left the new owners with a laundry list of needed upgrades that were supposed to be done with the $562k. How much you want to bet that they’ll ask for a handout or just sell off assets and close? They leave Pittsfield with the cleanup bill.” Community Eco Power has filed for Chap. 11 bankruptcy. Hmmmm. Where did the money go? Or is it now against the law to ask such questions in the totalitarian municipality?

Judge Vrabel Rules! — Kudos to Norther Berkshire District Court Judge Paul Vrabal booting the plea deal D.A. Andrea Harrington fixed with lawyers for Colleen Janz, who’s accused of embezzling $31,000 from Adams’ Susan B. Anthony museum. Janz served as executive director. Harrington, who threw the book at a white, middle-aged man who burned fa few hay bales in Dalton, recommended that Vrabel OK a deal that would have kissed Janz with a $50 fine and a promise to stay out of trouble for a month. Seriously. That’s what’s going on in the county’s highest “law enforcement” office. Vrabel booked a jury trial for Feb. 22 next year. THE PLANET wants the judge’s autograph!

“No Reply” — That’s the favorite Beatles’ song for Community Development head/aka non-elected Mayor, aka Boss Deanna Ruffer; her lackey “Green Light” Jim McGrath of the same office; and school committee member Alison “Biker Chick” McGee. The trio still have not responded to seven requests for comment on their suspicious actions to fast-track a $400,000 destruction bike-track builder Power Horn wants to inflict at Springside Park. The project is a “tip-o’-the-iceberg” deal, more likely to end up nearing $3 million. Does it not seem extraordinarily odd that these three fine “public servants” should be pushing like Sisyphus a for-profit, outside company that’s skirting state bidding law. Public officials have sold for far less. Meanwhile, where is the Parks Commission as well as Tyer, who’s been as visible coal pile at midnight during a blackout. Follow the money.

What ‘Inclusive’ Really Means“In order to have parks for everyone, we need to get rid of bicycles and other machines that don’t belong on unpaved trails! Bikes drive hikers and equestrians off the trails and out of the parks. All mountain bikers can walk.” These are the words of Mike Vandeman of the Machine-Free Trails Association and nationally recognized expert on mountain biking. He tells THE PLANET: “I am working on creating wildlife habitat that is off-limits to humans (“pure habitat”). Wildlife must be given top priority, because they can’t protect themselves from us.” Parks for everyone. That’s what inclusion means.

“Vibrant and Dynamic” — No-See-Um mayor Tyer must be awfully proud of the overgrown traffic islands at East and North streets  and where South Street turns into East at Bank Row. Jungle expeditions have entered the islands and never returned. We’re not saying they’ve been ignored, but they may oust Hess Forest as the city’s #1 wildlife preserve. A new Tarzan film is slated to begin filming there next week. The wildlife in the film will be the human kind, who are using streets as urinals, crappers, and garbage dumps. These islands occupy Pittsfield’s two busiest traffic points. Great message it send to visitors and tourists. Don’t believe us, then check it out for yourself in the photos below:

The traffic island at North and East streets, overgrown as an insult to all decent citizens. A Tyer disgrace.

Even worse is the island on Bank Row after cars heading into the city from south county turn right.  Another Tyer disgrace.

More of the Bank Row Jungle, a sign of the a city whose officials have stopped caring. Gated communities and six-figure salaries are good enough for them.

These and many other stories are brewing. Throw a dart off the top of the Hilton downtown and guaranteed it will land on some type of official corruption.

Sad part is, it never had to be this way.

Acceptance is the hardest part of preventable injustice.

—————————————————————————————-

Anyone who touts anything in Pittsfield as “vibrant and dynamic” must be witch-dunked in Silver Lake then pilloried in Park Square” — Sir Donald Turpentine, Knight of the Bath.

“OPEN THE WINDOW, AUNT MILLIE.”

Contrast the overgrown traffic islands with all the potted planters and new tree plantings along other city roadways. Some botanical vendor is getting filthy rich.
A drunk at a bar I frequent says that as far as he knows there are no kickbacks from weed wacking grass on a traffic island. I have no idea what he meant by that.

I hope everyone is responding to the survey of what should be done with the COVID Cash or Wuhan Winfall! It may be me but the obvious answer would be to pay off the water treatment improvements. Have the mayor, PD or any other city official warned people to be extra vigilant or would that be like admitting their city is less than the grand oasis they would like the tourist to believe it is.

DA squeaky don’t think those actions are crimes, and Tyer thinks it’s “vibrant and dynamic”; an economic engine that results in carpenters, auto body shops, and insurance adjusters getting a constant boom in business.

Good for the judge for booting the plea deal because it was a woman Democrat accused of a crime and Harrington is on a crusade to protect all women accused of crimes, but a white Republican has the book thrown at him for burning some bales of hay in protest. Using the law to further a political agenda is a big part of what is destroying this country. A “do what I say, not what I do” philosophy that applies to everything and is typical of Marxist/Communist countries where the elites live in luxury while the peasants live cheaply to save the climate.

The fugitive Democrat lawmakers from Texas are now up to 5 people testing positive for COVID, but they are not all quarantining. In fact many are meeting with lots of people today. Why? Not everybody tests positive at once. This is a classic example of “Do as I say, not as I do” as they justify their reckless behavior because they fanatically believe they are on a mission to save the country from voter ID and they want to spread mail-in ballots and voting that goes on for months across the country so they can easily change the election results in their favor.

If there was a Delta variation outbreak in Pittsfield would we find out before it got way out of hand? Or would the city keep things quiet to give business s a few more days (while things got exponentially worse)
We have seen over and over that we cannot trust those higher level mega business friendly officials in charge. Perhaps BHS, who does a much better job at keeping their COVID site up to date) can be our go to source for real time information on this deadly disease.

Have a look at Arizona election audit findings TSC.

—74,243 mail-in ballots that were counted, but showed no clear record of being requested by voters, or even mailed out
—11,326 who voted, yet did not show up on the voter rolls until more than a month after the election
—3,981 who voted on Election Day, but were registered after 10/15 which would be a violation of state law

There is no voter suppression by limiting the time of the voting to under a few days or even less after an election and limiting the use of mail-in ballots to the way it has always been done before the pandemic. Voting is easy and as long as everybody’s name is on a list that is then crossed off we have no problem, but that’s not the way the Democrats want it to happen. They want mail-in ballots to become the normal way of voting and that is wrong and dangerous.

In Harris County Texas they will now only have one drop box for voters. There are 4.7 million voters spread over a very wide area and some will have to drive an hour to get to it. This just happens to be an area where white folk are not the majority. I guess two or three drop box would have been too much trouble for Texas.

Simple solution, vote in person. I’m sure there are MANY places to do that within the county.

“The state lawmakers actually believe that flying on private jets to DC, dining at posh DC restaurants, and enjoying air-conditioned hotel rooms is comparable to George Washington crossing the Delaware River.

Finding it stranger than normal that there has been no input from any of the elected officials pertaining to so many major issues going on in Pittsfield. No comments about Springside Park, unwanted bike lanes on North Street, Covanta issue, Crime and so much more. In checking out the PPD Log for the weekend find it strange that there were only 3 motor vehicle stops for the whole weekend. The City of Pittsfield Website states we have a Traffic Bureau, Car 54 Where Are You? Certainly explains the dangerous free for all driving on PIttsfield streets. Yet they go completely overboard on a supposed home invasion on Broad Street, having to ask for assistance from bordering towns, Maybe they should ask these same towns to perform traffic stops. MIA Wynn needs to explain this. Where are all the elected officials? Why are they not advocating for the taxpayers? Are they being threatened by someone that they will be sorry if they speak up? Or better yet is there a behind the scenes payout if they keep their mouths shut? Or could they basically don’t care? Why does the Mayor hold so much power that grown men and woman are afraid to speak? This current Administration has always been messed up, but it seems to have grown big time in transparency, WHY?

Hendrix

100% agreed Merry. You have business owners on North St publicly creating threads on social media asking questions because they are getting no answers. Many even supported the current administration… The owner of Dotties has put the city on blast a couple of times and heard nothing back despite actively supporting the administration. Steven Valenti basically noted in the same thread their desire to leave the city.

Everyone had to know it was bad when several restaurant owners had to actually knock on the door at city hall during a pandemic to get guidance and answers.

It is clear our mayor has checked out and is completely incompetent. I knew it was going to be bad when she got reelected, but could never have imagined just how bad it would get.

TSC, the unapproved/tested “vaccines” don’t work very well, and more people have died of the jab the last month than the Kung Flu.

Case in point the cabal of AWOL Texas D-legislators, who all were vaccinated, yet 10% were covid+ after their jaunt to DC, while shirking their elected duties.

In fact growing evidence, the MSM tout’s “delta variant” to further encourage getting jabbed, may be the result of those given the vaccine.

This post is a great example of Mad Trapper’s illiteracy, crudeness, lack of science credentials and ignorance. Ignorance in the form of believing that the vaccine causes more sickness than it cures; illiteracy in the form of not being able to distinguish third-person singular from plural; crudeness in feeling the need to refer to covid as ‘kung flu’; weak science creds by thinking that a sample the size of the Texas delegation predicts what will be found in the general population.

jethro,

It’s a fact, the jab has caused more deaths than the Flu last whole month, I posted links. IT’S FACT . Liberals don’t like FACTS, it gets in the way of their mantra/agendas.

Lack of science credentials? What do you have? I’ve got 3 degrees, 2 post-grad in physical sciences. Did you get by HS Earth Science and remedial math?

I posted news from England, 60% of those newly hospitalized, have had TWO jabs. So only 40% without the jabs are now in the hospital. How can that be!!!!

Now the Texas D-Rats, all fully jabbed. They first flaunted Texas laws, spread disease on a private non-green jet flight to DC not wearing Lord Fauci masks. Either caught the Kung Flu from Kommieala, or gave it to her.

Concerning grammar. Even our dear host Dan makes mistakes/typos.

If you want to police such grammar things, go look at TSC’s incoherent daily rants.

The whole Trump family is vaccinated. Almost all republican lawmakers are vaccinated. They are afraid to admit it publicly but they did go to college and are not as woefully ignorant are many of their disciples..

Consider that 99 percent of the people dying now are UNVACCINATED. Republicans locked into FOX news disinformation represent most of the unvaccinated. This equation suggests that most of the people dying in the next year, (and there will be hundreds of thousands) will be republican voters, Trump supporters.
So, like FOX NEWS MEDIA says, “you decide”.

“60% of People Being Admitted to Hospital with Covid-19 in England Have Been Fully Vaccinated”
“Sir Patrick Vallance says about 60% of COVID cases in hospitals now have had two vaccinations.
But he says this is “not surprising” because a higher proportion of the population have had two jabs, and the jabs are not “100% effective”.

Judge Vrabel is a fine and decent person, and an outstanding judge.

Why not locate the dirt bike mudpile in Milltown-owned Lakeside Christian Camp off Cloverdale St? Plenty of space there.

My question is, was the redesign of North St months ago by Russo part of the plan to facilitate city bikers into getting to Springside? I had no idea that city officials were planning this bump track until your column, Dan.

It seems that they are trying to make a connection to Bosquet. I don’t think any of this outdoor sports/recreation is a bad thing, apart from it should be a private business venture.

The COP keeps getting into quid pro economic situations with favored vendors and it is wrong and the majority of the time (all the time?) ends up with the tax payer footing the bill for a failed venture. And some friends head off to Boca richer with a steaming pile left behind.

The best thing COP could do for the region is provide low cost high speed broad band around the area. People who have jobs, run businesses or who are students appreciate this. Almost no one is COP politics has ever had a real job, so they dont really know what would make economic sense. I think they are too stupid to accomplish even this so I think they should do no more than essential. No new spends. They are guaranteed to throw the money away.

Why does the COP KEEP SPENDING MONEY WHEN THEY KEEP MAKING HORRIBLE INVESTMENTS? How much money could possibly make the schools good if what they have now per pupil is not enough? None, no amount of money will improve it. It is graft, that is why. They have no interest or investment in making it work.

I wouldnt let Ruffler manage my coffee budget.

The COP throws money into bad investments because it is taxpayers money, so it isn’t an issue for them because they know where and how to get more of taxpayers money. You wouldn’t see these same people make bad investments one after another, if it was from their own personal accounts.

Summertime, you can walk through downtown Stockbridge much faster than driving.

A better option, for north/south travel, is to use Rt 183 to the west. Use backroads/sidestreets when you get to Gt Barrington too. To the east, cut through Tyringham to avoid both Stockbridge and Gt Barrington

For east/west travel use backroads: in Lee W Park street/Devon Rd and in Stockbridge Rattlesnake Mt rd from Devon to Rt 183

Great question asked of Thom Smith in his Nature Column in the B.E. on the endangered in nature.

READER QUESTIONS
Q: Every once and a while, I read or hear of a plant or animal in danger of losing ground or something like that. How many are there in Massachusetts that are in danger?
— E. McD., North Adams

A: You are probably referring to animals and plants being listed through the Massachusetts Endangered Species Act (MESA) as Special Concern, Threatened, or Endangered. A species that show signs of decreasing may be listed as Special Concern. If it continues to decline and is considered rare, it may then be given the title Threatened. If it continues to decrease, it will be regarded as Endangered.
Last year was the 30th anniversary of the signing of this endangered act by then-Gov. Michael Dukakis on Dec. 27, 1990, at the State House in Boston.
Since January 2020, there are 432 native plant and animal species that are protected under the Massachusetts Endangered Species Act that includes endangered (E); threatened (T) and special concern (SC):
Plants (E 53: T 66; SC 40) total 259 species

Mammals (E 11; T 0; SC 3) total 14 species
Birds (E 9; T 7; SC 14) total 30 species
Reptiles (E 8;T 5; SC 3) total 16 species

Amphibians (E 0; T 2; SC 2) total 4 species
Fishes (E 4; T 2; SC 4) total 10 species
Invertebrates (E 32;T 25; SC 42) total 99 species
Together, we face a demanding future with 217 endangered, 107 threatened 108, and special concern plant and animal species, for a total of 432 species that need
particular attention.

Judge Yrable is the last western Massachusetts judge with integrity, it seems unfortunately judge Tyne has been intimidated by the Dawley ( her boss) Harrington tag team with threat of losing her well deserved seat on the bench.
Explanation- friday june 11th she allowed a continuance in a bench trial defendant BM waited in BCHC 8 MONTHS for a ” speedy trial” to allow Harringtons office to rehearse only witness/ victims testimony- as the victim coukd.t remember what story she and PPD Halis devised to protect yet another crooked cop from being added to Brady list.

Equal blame for the travesty of justice goes out to Commitee for Public Council Services new lead attorney Kristine Grubs, truly a public pretenders pretender that failed to request a dismissal as commonwealth was unprepared after 8 months.

Courts in western Massachusetts are merely theaters to appease the peasant citizenship.

Wonder hae many campaign donations ( bribes) Harrington received from Janz friends and family. A well know practice in District attorneys office since the Lenox Seven Travisty.

Good on judge Vrabel, for not comprising his integrity. Truly a courageous man.

The state and federal legislative redistricting data showed that Berkshire County lost 4.8% of its population from one decade ago. The Berkshire delegates to Beacon Hill will have larger legislative districts after the 2022 state elections. PAC Man Richie Neal will represent both Western and a larger portion of Central Massachusetts after the legislative redistricting and the 2022 federal elections. Remember Smitty Pignatelli’s op-ed in the Berkshire Eagle where he wrote about Berkshire County’s drastic losses of population and living wage jobs – an ever diminishing tax base, which is compounded by ever higher state and local taxes? I still do not understand why Smitty didn’t hold up a proverbial mirror to look at himself as a failed career politician that contributed to all of this long term economic loss in the beautiful but economically distressed and unequal Berkshires. Perhaps the 2022 redistricting map will put Smitty’s legislative district out in Hampden County, which would be a blessing to the people in the beautiful Berkshires that he has done disservices to for nearly 2 decades on Beacon Hill.

I have been noticing all the mayors street garbage had washed up upon the storm drain grates over the last month. I thought to myself, self I says, do you think someone from the city will notice and clean them off before we have flash flooding and the water has no where to go and the streets will flood like crazy? And then they did.

So it seems the taxpayers may need to bypass the mayor to get some of these basic things that normal city’s do done. Can we get some boy scouts or girl scouts or Greenagers or juveniles on detention to help us out until we get a new mayor?

https://www.iberkshires.com/story/65433/City-of-Pittsfield-presents-Bicycle-Facilities-Master-Plan.html

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The City of Pittsfield has completed its Bicycle Facilities Master Plan, which aims to establish a safe, comfortable and connected bicycle network throughout the city that is accessible to people of all ages and abilities.

A final presentation of the plan will be shared via a presentation on Zoom at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 19.

A link to the plan through the project website is available on the homepage of the city’s website, http://www.cityofpittsfield.org, under “Hot Topics.”

“This project has resulted in the identification of short-term and long-term improvements that will link the city’s neighborhoods and downtown, as well as needed accessory infrastructure, such as storage and maintenance,” said City Planner CJ Hoss. “While the project included two formal public meetings, the development of this master plan also included stakeholder meetings, input from a community survey this past spring, as well as updates through an interactive mapping tool on the project website.”

The Bicycle Facilities Master Plan provides the city with a long-term citywide vision for a bicycle network and grow beyond a ‘one-street-at-a-time’ planning approach, Hoss said. The city retained Kittleson and Associations, Inc., a nationally renowned transportation focused consulting firm, to lead this project.

The plan was built around the following project goals and objectives:

Develop a citywide plan based on transportation, land use, and demographic factors;
Prioritize plan recommendations for full-scale build out over time;
Recommend bicycle facility types for preferred and alternative routes in the network; and
Identify complementary bicycle facilities such as bicycle racks, maintenance stations, and bike-share stations.

Beginning in the early 2000s, the city started to design and implement bicycle facilities with the redesign of North Street to include sharrows (a shared lane marking) and dedicated bike lanes.

This effort was followed by the reconstruction of Elm Street with dedicated bike lanes and sharrows. More recently, the city has adopted a Complete Streets policy, is commencing a Tyler Street Streetscape construction project which will add bicycle facilities, and is currently making improvements to North Street to implement a continuous dedicated downtown buffered bike lane with educational signage and materials.

Those wishing to participate may do so via Zoom. The meeting ID is 83323710276 or https://us06web.zoom.us/j/83323710276. The meeting will also be broadcast via PCTV.

Put on your mud boots for this one, the manure they will spread will be knee deep.

“The city retained Kittleson and Associations, Inc., a nationally renowned transportation focused consulting firm, to lead this project.”

How are they “connected” to some politicians in city hall, and what was the graft paid?

“More recently, the city has adopted a Complete Streets policy, is commencing a Tyler Street Streetscape construction project which will add bicycle facilities, and is currently making improvements to North Street to implement a continuous dedicated downtown buffered bike lane with educational signage and materials.”

Yes, they made North Street a cluster*@#$!!! Can they make it even worse? I bet the morons can/will!!! If they screw up Tyler street also, then traffic through Pittsfield will be so congested no new business would want to locate here.

Eventually, they envision other areas of the city, like Elm St & Tyler St, connecting to the North St bike routes.

Curious what the master plan means by ” identify by demographics”.
Which socioeconomic group does that refer to, the mostly lo income locals, whi would really benefit from usable, well maintained bike lanes, or does it refer to the algorithms, the data generated by out of towners to justify colonizing Pittsfield with their mostly bullshit projects and development?
Make no mistake, those new apartment buildings going up on Tyler Street are the beginning of sprawl, planned sprawl.
With the Lantern and Mission being the exceptions, go figure, every single business on North Street either wants to leave or is talking about leaving.
Familiar Trees, the independent bookstore, couldn’t get out of here fast enough after the murder of the street from their shop. I think they made it a full 11 months before they beat feet.
Blockbusting is a real thing and we’re seeing it happening right here on North Street.
Putting the re-entry program for drug addicted mentally ill juvenile criminals directly behind Dotty’s for example.
Allowing human feces and used uncapped needles, and the people responsible, to live behind the dumpsters behind Dottie’s. Although now that Milltown has taken over Mission that problem miraculously fixed itself.
And check this one out: the homeless who used to congregate at the bus stop in front of 510 now congregating on the benches on the corner of North and Maplewood and in the middle of the month, well past the day that checks come, they all have full packs of store-bought cigarettes. Huh??? This is on a good day they got rollies on most days they’re asking you if you can spare a cigarette crowd.
Deliberately devalue a property and a neighborhood to displace the people currently living there so that you can bring in new tenants at higher rent.
We are under siege and nobody’s paying attention.

And, off topic, who owns that building on outer West Housatonic that has been growing over for the last 30 years. Our Gateway into Pittsfield as the mayor would say. Did someone say there was a bit of waste underneath it?
If a person owned that, say just a reglar fella now, would he be allowed to just let the place decay and look shitty or would the city make him pay his taxes or take the property? I mean this mayor is not working with two different sets of rules is she?

That place is a brownfield site. I think it might be owned by the city, they took it I think. They actually did quite a bit of dumping there and blamed it on the prior owner. The city put thousands of gallons of oil into that site then tried to bill the owner.

At this rate, after 4 years of Biden/Harris, Obama will have his dream fulfilled of the demographics of the United States completely changed forever. White people, all racists, and now even white babies as young as 4 months old, are showing signs of being racist according to Critical Race Theory, but no worries since White people will be out of the picture thanks to Obama’s dream of permanently changing this country. Obama continues to brag that Biden is completing his vision for the country and 90% of Obama’s radical followers in Biden’s administration will speed along the process.

Well that’s the plan. To reverse Trumps exodus of illegals back to our borders. This isn’t political rocket science.

To reinforce your point Pat…I happened to visit a hospital nursery in Altoona, Pennsylvania just last week and almost every baby in there was using the N word. I was absolutely aghast I tell ya. Aghast I say.

An African American man was fired for blowing the whistle on Hasbro company and their claims of babies being racist so they will push CRT through their toys.

Just remember they sacrificed the entire cities safety for some imaginary bicyclists. On any give day over the last 30 or so years, I’ve seen the boom box chopper bike guy, some kids, and some fixie adult adolescents bike on north street. None of them with any real purpose except to be seen. Out of all of them the kids seem to have the most need and they still, smartly, ride on the sidewalk. Most also avoid north street like the plague.

“We’re ready to roll, just waiting for funding,” said Gina Armstrong with the Pittsfield Health Department. Overdose deaths rose 44% last year in Berkshire County

The 44% were imported, which is not the same data as “rose 44%”, word.

Hello Patrick Fennell,

I get very upset with Smitty Pignatelli’s public record in Boston. He voted for two State House Speakers (Tom Finneran and Sal DiMasi) who later became two convicted Felons. He always voted against Sunshine Laws that would have opened up Beacon Hill’s corrupt sausage making to the public.  He voted himself huge legislative pay raises and perks that cost state taxpayers tens of millions of dollars. He wrote op-eds supporting the corrupt EPA and GE’s settlement that would put a toxic waste dump in Lee (Massachusetts) against the wishes of his constituents. He wrote op-eds about Berkshire County’s “perpetual economic downturn” due to decades-long population and job loss, ever higher state and local taxes, the lack of affordable housing for the local working class families, and so on, without accounting for his nearly 2 decades as a failed career politician in Boston. He says that he supports Governor Charlie Baker’s affordable housing program for the Commonwealth’s 26 Gateway Communities (including Pittsfield), but he doesn’t account for Charlie Baker’s lofty proposals coming before the 2022 state election cycle. He doesn’t account for the fact that big government politicians always say they are for the working class families’ needs for affordable housing, affordable healthcare, quality public education, infrastructure, living wage jobs, pension plans, and so on, but in the end, the big government politicians only take care of themselves and their wealthy campaign donors on K Street and the like. The only two things that grow in our country’s economy are the top 1 percent of wealthy households and the huge underclass who cannot make it into the middle class on either a short term or long term basis. We live in the land of CLASS WARFARE where the ruling and corporate elites only do disservices against the masses. Smitty Pignatelli is no different than the rest of the elites in big government and big business.

Best wishes,

Jonathan A. Melle

Ask yourself a question J. Why do voters keep electing Mr. Pignatelli if he is so disingenuous,in your opinion?

He definitely has it out for Smitty. Like he is the only politician around here now and before who hasn’t pleased everyone.

Number of covid infected , previously “vaccinated”, D-Texas legislators is up to six now.

Given her past record, I was pretty sure Kamala was the “super spreader”.

Turns out it was a pair of the wicked witch of the west, Pelousey, flying monkeys (also vaccinated).

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/07/super-spreader-pelosi-aide-white-house-official-welcomed-texas-democrats-capitol-test-positive-covid-19/

“A White House official and a staff member for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) have both tested positive for COVID-19 after attending the same reception last week, officials confirmed to Axios.

Why it matters: While both individuals are vaccinated and mildly symptomatic, they illustrate how Americans inoculated against the coronavirus can still contract and, potentially, unknowingly transmit the virus — even at the highest levels of the nation’s government.

  • “We know that there will be breakthrough cases, but as this instance shows, cases in vaccinated individuals are typically mild,” a White House official told Axios.
  • Driving the news: The Pelosi staffer helped usher a delegation of Democratic Texas lawmakers around the Capitol last week. Six of those lawmakers, who flew to Washington to block the Texas legislature from changing the state’s voting laws, have since tested positive.
  • Both that staffer and the White House official were at the same rooftop reception at the Hotel Eaton last Wednesday night.
  • The White House official has not had any recent direct contact with President Biden. The Pelosi aide did not have any contact with the speaker since that person’s exposure.

Imagine the media firestorm if Republican lawmakers flew to DC and spread Covid around the Capitol.”

Just watched as a young man pulled up to the door at Tito’s on Depot Street and proceeded to help an elderly woman (possibly his grandmother) out of his car and attempted to help her into the restaurant. He no sooner got this woman out of the car and low and behold, who shows up but Mayor Tyer’s Dynamic and Vibrant Parking Police, telling the young man to move his car immediately. What more can this highly paid transparent Mayor do to ruin business on North Street? This action really made me sick to my stomach. Meanwhile, I glanced over at the empty Depot and Columbus Avenue parking lots. Way to go Mayor!!

Dan, I posted on this a few months ago.

mASS Dot says they can’t do the work because of the powerlines, crossing the road, which run following the railroad tracks.

Now the mASSholes at DOT, did a full rebuild on that bridge, about 40 years ago. Did they miss something? How was it done back then? Holmes Rd was closed quite a while.

Current “mantra” at DOT is our “rebuilt” bridges are good for 100 years.

I say bridges built 100 years ago, lasted 100 years.

I believe years ago, maybe 15-20, they tried to do something about the Wahconah Park parking lot, but then city councilor Joe Guzzo, killed it.

I’m not sure if it was the Aging Greek God Pete Arlos or Dan, himself, but one of the two coined the phrase “Lake Guzzo,” every time it flooded out. One year was especially tough for the HS parents who attended their kids games there. It flooded regularly.

Good ole Pittsfield politics. But hey, at least Pittsfield is vibrant, dynamic, and now inclusive.

Should Linda Tyer add the phrase “reclusive,” to the mix. She certainly has been MIA lately.

If Americans can be jailed for lying to officials/congress, why can’t officials/congress critters be jailed for lying to Americans?

“There will be responsibility for those who funded the lab, including yourself.” Rand Paul said.
“I totally resent the lie that you are now propagating, Senator.” Fauci retorted.

Things just got tense between Senator @RandPaul and Dr. Fauci.

As The Gateway Pundit has reported since early 2020, the Wuhan lab was likely the source of the coronavirus outbreak and Dr. Fauci was funding the lab for years.
Dr. Fauci refuted the claims under oath despite the fact that there are documents that prove the US was funding the Wuhan lab under his direction.

On last night’s show Sean Hannity called for his viewers to take COVID seriously and get vaccinated. Kudos to him for doing the right thing. I guess it’s true that he wants to be Trump’s running mate in 2024.

That would be a great combination actually….Trump and Hannity, both common sense people. Most Republicans are vaccinated. It’s African Americans and Hispanic people who are behind in getting these free vaccines.

I’m very happy to see that you support vaccination as a way to combat the pandemic. I wish more contributors to this site would follow your lead. This would reduce the amount of misinformation circulating about the pandemic.
