Today we remember the war dead. All wars.
As the years go by, we find this day evermore serving its true purpose. No longer is it merely the kick-off of “The Season” in the Berkshires. THE PLANET finds that type of “observance” tawdry and disrespectful. To us, this is a day of “In Memoriam,” whose proper observance is both somber and silent.
We also mourn the slow death of this once-great country, whose people who have proven that our species cannot handle freedom — now well beyond a cure whose application worsens the illness.
Us v. Them.
We’re This. You’re That.
No it isn’t. Yes it is.

Happy Memorial Day and thank you to all those who fought for our Country. Prayers to the families that lost their loved ones in the fight.
In watching the National American Memorial Concert last night I had tears in my eyes as the color guards of all branches of the service marched out to the music of each branch. To see men and women of all ages in the crowd proudly standing and singing along made my heart proud. To see all these Americans that fought for to make our Country great and safe is so honorable.
My feelings were then cut short as they announced General Mark Milley for his speech. My feelings then went to a complete sick feeling. Had to change the channel!! How this man still has a job is beyond me. Look at the total mess he was a part of in Afghanistan, him and our current senile crooked government don’t have an inkling of courage these men and women that fought for our Country have. Biden, Harris, Pelosi and the rest of the current Administration should all have been locked up with Pelosi’s husband. It is shameful what they have done to our Country in a short 1 1/2 years. Because of their giant clueless and egotistical egos, most American’s are suffering financially and petrified of crime this Memorial Day. Something has to change and change soon! God Bless America!
Please don’t take this as criticism, I don’t offer it as such. Memorial Day is solemn day of mourning all those brave souls who lost their lives protecting an illusion of freedom, and world peace. A wish of a happy Memorial Day is inappropriate. Memorial Day isn’t even a day to thank all those brave souls who risk their lives in an attempt to protect the illusion of life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and world peace through the annihilation of other Homo sapiens, wise humans.
Excuse me for stating the word Happy. Unfortunately there is not much happiness in this Country currently. My thoughts were that it is a day when families and friends get together for picnics and understand the history of Memorial day, and hopefully have some fun and happy enjoyment.

Imagine that! DA Andrea Harrington dismisses charges on a violent person who should have been involuntarily committed and what does that person do? Kill a 71 year old man a couple years later. Andrea Harrington letting killers walk so they can kill again.

Just got out of work. A Pittsfield DPW employee I know stopped in for lunch. Said Morales is looking for a new job, doesn’t do anything when asked by road chiefs for help, and isn’t available for most of the day.
Tamarack, they cheaped out and didn’t fix the road right. It will need to be redone in two years. They didn’t fix and of the drainage issues, they only milled down the surface and didn’t rebel the road, they didn’t want to do it because it required wetland stuff so they just milled it down, took the millings and filled the potholes, then slapped a 4 inch coat of asphalt over it.
The road might fail even sooner because they didn’t crown it right and made lips at the edges that keep the water on the road. The edges of the road are higher than the center and the few drainage spots, they aren’t enough.
