PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, MONDAY JUNE 27, 2022) — Nice of council president Peter Marchetti to push for a recall of colleague Charles Kronick, Ward 2 councilor in Ward 2. What does the prez have to do that’s more important than muzzling the only councilor (with Tony Maffuccio) willing to stand up for Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski? It’s not like the city is falling apart.

It’s interesting to observe local mainstream media when they cover an event that riles The Suits. They immediately enter “suck-up” mode, their default position. That’s because they will literally die if they upset city hall (with its legal advertising) and certain big-ticket advertisers, which is why THE PLANET accepts no local ads.

Our simple formula: (1) Build up enough traffic (2) Wait for a tech giant to come-a-courtin’ (3) Go with the best offer. Everyone’s happy, especially THE PLANET, and not for the money but the independence we have from local deep-sea advertising pressures. The Berkshire Eagle, iBerkshires, and the radio stations have to toe the line or else, like state-controlled media in North Korea.

As for certain wannabe podcasters and local video talk shows whose phone-booth-sized audiences preclude advertising, they obey from fear.  They not only toe the line; these suck on toes. The only part of a toe The Suits will see from our boot when we kick them in the ass when deserved.

They certainly deserved by their reaction to Sir Charles’ move to invoke a charter objection to the council’s becoming an accessory to murder with respect to the mayor’s Pickleball Budget. This $204 million in criminal spending kills the Kapanskis and small businesses while rewarding those who check their honor and principals at the door and “play ball.”

Pickleball, THE PLANET‘s new word for local corruption. Spread the word.

———- ooo ———-

iBerkshires‘ coverage was particularly one-sided to the point of embarrassment. Brittany Polito’s opus dutifully reported the slander of Sir Charles by MArchetti and the mayor, running a series of obsequious quotes justifying their blackballing efforts against Kronick, a man who deserves the public’s thanks and gratitude. Polito magnified Tyer and Marchetti’s branding of Sir Charles as “racist, homophobic, transphobic, and misogynistic.”

Not once did Polito think of contacting Kronick to hear his side of it. Same with Tony Maffuccio, who courageously seconded Kronick’s CO, an action deserving praise, not slander.

Polito has this sentence: “As one of three councilors who identify as LGBTQ+plus [note the “+plus”, as if regular “plus” isn’t enough], Marchetti said he found some of [Kronick’s] comments … “‘very offensive.'” You know the woke game progressives love. It’s called “Who’d Like to be a Victim?”

“Iza victum, yooza victum, all God’s chillin’ beeza victum.” So goes their minstrel tune. THE PLANET asks, who is truly racist, homophobic, transphobic, and man-hating?

———- ooo ———-

The iBerkshires smear job boasted a photo of Pee Pee and the mayor sitting in stuffed chairs in the corner office, bringing to mind the famous photo taken in 1972 depicting President Nixon and Chairman Mao.

THE PLANET won’t get on PP for letting himself go, but he has put on a few pounds. A word of compassionate advice for the council president: You can’t eat and drink your emotions. Those kinds of demons you have to face or they’ll eat you alive.

Pete will go down in the annals as one of Pittsfield biggest political flops. He came on the public scene with ideas and enthusiasm. He had what in sports is called “the curse of potential.” THE PLANET was one of Pete’s early boosters. After he lost his first bid for public office, I told him he impressed during the campaign and that he had a future in public life. I also cautioned him against what I had already seen too many times, namely, how after winning office, those of good intentions but weak character change for the worse. They become corrupt.

Pete didn’t listen.

Nearly 25 years later, he’s grown old before his time, bloated, jaded, and painting by the numbers.

Ironically, as L’Affaire Sir Charles shows, that’s what wins you political security in “vibrant, dynamic” Pittsfield.

Here’s two better candidates for recall: Marchetti and his esteemed VP, Mr. White. Let’s get ‘er goin’, citizens. Recall Marchetti and White.

Meantime, time to send some love to Sir Charles and Tony. They’ve earned it.

———————————————————————————-

Evil people usually know better than anybody else just what they are doing. And go on doing it” — Alexandr Solzhenitsyn.

“OPEN THE WINDOW, AUNT MILLIE.”

LOVE TO ALL.

Tuesday 6/28, 5:45 City Council.

You will want to be there. It is going to be, well, I don’t really know. But something tells me it’s going to be good. I’ve been handed a snake, and I am not afraid to pick it up.

Thank you, Ward 2 City Councilor Charles Ivar Kronick for standing up to Mayor Linda Tyer, whose fiscal year 2023 $204 million “Pickleball” municipal budget, which will begin on this Friday, July 1st, 2022, is the newest WORST event in Pittsfield politics, which has had a lot of really bad things happen there over the past 50 years of losses in living wage jobs and population. There will be a brutal recession next year of 2023, but not in Mayor Linda Tyer’s elitist Gated Community of multimillionaires living in their mansions where they park their luxury cars at night within a few feet of the Hancock border. Similar to City Council President Peter Marchetti, Mayor Linda Tyer did not start out serving the elite few while driving the common people out of their homes with her administration’s record setting high municipal taxes, fees, public debts and other liabilities – that will never be paid off in our lifetimes – in return for Level 5 public schools, violent crime-filled inner-city shooting gallery streets, and so on. Lastly, if were in Berkshire County District Attorney Andrea Harrington’s proverbial shoes this week, I would be mad as Hell at Linda Tyer for blaming the sitting D.A. for Pittsfield’s violent crime and UPTICK in shootings by the over 1,000 gang members who now live in the scary inner city. Look in the proverbial mirror, Mayor Linda Tyer! Stop blaming D.A. Andrea Harrington for your failed leadership!

Some years ago, when Mazzeo was on the city council an issue came up that required a super majority vote. There were only 10 city councilors the night the vote was taken. I don’t remember what the issue was, and it matters not. Because the issue was more of a Hitchcock McGuffin than what happened next. The predetermined McGuffin failed, and that should have been the end of it, but it wasn’t. There was a lot of grumbling by the supporters when their McGuffin failed to go the way it had already been decided in some dark backroom before the bogus ritual of public voting. Because at the next meeting, Boloney DoPhoney came in and explained that city councilors would get another chance to ram their issue through, BECAUSE, Boloney DoPhoney had determined that First Votes don’t count. What Boloney DoPhoney left out of his public announcement, was that FIRST VOTES DON”T COUNT, especially when they don’t result in a backroom predetermined outcome. So, Kronic, don’t forget to bring lots of snake antivenom to your heresy inquisition tonight.

Looks like these people are pushing for an autocratic form of government in Pittsfield. Absolute power and no one must dare challenge. Who else do we know that does this??? Vladimir Putin does this. The signs are all there. They changed the charter in an obvious power grab. . And now, even a fellow city councilor, who did a perfectly legal manuever, is being piled on and they want him out (and anyone else who might challenge their total control over millions of public dollars.) Money corrupts and makes some people behave in ways they might not normally do. All that Covid money seems to have pushed some over the edge and may be a curse rather than a blessing if it is controlled by the wrong people.
Do not under estimate the big guy with glasses. He seems to have become the enforcer for the corner office and the cabal behind her. He may look like a big stupid clown but he may be more cunning than we gave him credit for. Beware.

On the issue of abortion, which does tie in with the Planet’s theme of transphobia and homophobia for the day, I can honestly say I can’t imagine what yesterday’s horde of abortion protesters have to worry about. After viewing photos of these women protesting the government’s intrusion into their bodies, trampling on their god given right to murder any unwanted issue that trespass their wombs, most, if not all of these alleged females? protesters look like they have their own built-in backup plan which no doubt consists of woodchippers for coochies.

Civilization as we know it is going to Hell in a Handbasket. Better get ready for the judgement, better get ready for the judgement, The gamblers, the drunkards, the liars and the adulterers, too. All those false pretenders, and all of them hypocrites, and sodomites, too, Better get ready for the judgement….

Just reading the iberkshires article about the Pitt rally for abortion. Great pics of your local morons. And of course, Harrington was quoted as pledging “to advocate for expanded access to safe abortions & fight against these attacks on women’s constitutional rights.”
Ah, Andrea, show me in the constitution where it says women have a right to an abortion?
And Andrea, perhaps you don’t know that abortion is legal in MA?

Hard to believe Harrington was voted in as DA. Yikes, glad I left the county!

On the issue of Abortion, No one knows the exact number of abortions of convenience since 1973 because some stated don’t report their numbers of abortions, and some medical records distort the truth. But reliable Birth Control methods have been legal and available since the 1960’s, Many new and safer Birth control methods have become available since the Pill was first introduced. Abortion is not an ethical birth control option. When legal abortions became available it was mostly limited to the first trimester, or if later, for the safety of the mother, or because something went horribly wrong with the fetus, and it was a painful kindness to terminate the pregnancy prematurely. But women have demanded a murderous extension to the time frame when they can annihilate the inconvenient contents of the uterus. No irresponsible women will be forced to endure filthy backroom abortions or coat hanger abortions. These rabid women will still be able to callously and legally annihilate the contents of their uterus’ right up to the birth date of their inconvenience, no one’s depriving them of that.

Mr. Maffuch has always looked out for us Kapanskis and we are so fortunate to have Sir Charles doing the same now. Kalinowski, who despite her gender, had the balls to take on the GOBSIGS, has failed to live up to her potential.

Tyer and Marchetti are nothing but two stuffed pigs in a poke pissing away our Kapanski cash, and both should be ashamed of what they have failed to accomplish, and how much money they spent doing it. Dare I mention shootings and Tyers secret plan?

And I hear there are not enough students to justify two high schools and Taconic is going all
Vocational next year . Who could have saw that coming?

Go Shitsfield! Land of the lost.

The secret plan she has been using is to just make sure info about muggings and assaults do not show up where the general public reads about it. If it was not in the paper it did not happen. No one got mugged in the last 5 years on North st and no elderly people were assaulted either. Hardly anyone has been commiting armed robberies and shoplifting, while it does happen, is rare, tee hee.
But ya know, people talk. Police rarely but sometimes relay a sad story. People in the Emergency room just have to vent sometimes. Ambulance people also need a release and cannot keep all that trauma bottled up. So yes, the mayor can control the media and other department information but people do talk. And so the stories do leak and a lot of people do know how dirty the city is behind the facade. The mayor and Petes may think they are running a closed operation but that is not totally accurate.

People who work for the school system shake their heads but are afraid to speak out because they need their positions. How many city department heads do you think are afraid to even ask a question? And business owners are afraid to open their mouths publicly for fear of the building inspector or health inspector paying a rude visit. But there exists a grapevine and the chatter is growing more constant.

Virginia Judge Throws Progressive Prosecutor Off the Case

Judge kicked the entire prosecutors office off the case…reflects an inability to properly prosecute this case with the detail and attention required of a criminal prosecutor

Prosecutor “sanitizes the facts by screening the court” from knowledge of the other cases, which he deemed “an overt misrepresentation by omission.”

“The Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office is hereby removed and disqualified” from Valle’s case, the judge concluded.

The move was a rare, if not unprecedented step in Virginia, legal experts said, and represented the latest pushback against a wave of progressive prosecutors who won elections nationwide in recent years promising to reduce incarceration, stop prosecuting low-level crimes and focus on violence

“The lion’s share of this progressive prosecutors group are incompetent, unqualified and in over their heads in this role.”

In San Francisco, district attorney Chesa Boudin was recently recalled from office after serving less than three years. State attorneys general in multiple states have taken actions to overrule local prosecutors. Biberaj and other prosecutors in Northern Virginia also face recall efforts.

*****

2016, newly elected Mayor Linda Tyler:

“I want to be very clear: I have had enough, and I will not allow the City of Pittsfield to be overrun by this or any other criminal element,”

“To all who threaten our city, I am not going to stand down while you terrorize our neighborhoods,” she said. “We are going to make it very uncomfortable for you to engage in criminal behavior. If you endanger a child or interfere with Pittsfield’s aspiring youth, we will intervene.”

*****

Who remembers this classic moment? It seems so outdated, so trivial considering there was like ONE shooting death and “several” incidents of gunfire. Today we have people getting murdered every month, and guns ablazin’ all the time.

Ironically, she literally stood down and disappeared.

That’s all dirty Democrats do.

Look at the shit show farce they are running, in DC right now.

They have The Proud Boys locked up in the DNC/DC gulag, over a year, with no due process, on “Trumped up” charges.

Even NYT has had had to eat crow on that one.

“The meeting, on Dec. 30, 2020, marked the founding of a special new chapter of the Proud Boys called the Ministry of Self-Defense. The team of several dozen trusted members was intended, Mr. Tarrio told his men, to bring a level of order and professionalism to the group’s upcoming march in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021, that had, by his own account, been missing at earlier Proud Boys rallies in the city.

Over nearly two hours, Mr. Tarrio and his leadership team — many of whom have since been charged with seditious conspiracy — gave the new recruits a series of directives: Adopt a defensive posture on Jan. 6, they were told. Keep the “normies” — or the normal protesters — away from the Proud Boys’ marching ranks. And obey police lines.

The prosecution has claimed that the Proud Boys began to plan their assault as early as Dec. 19, 2020 — the day that President Donald J. Trump posted a tweet announcing his Jan. 6 rally and saying it would be “wild.” But the video conference shows that, just one week before the event, when Mr. Tarrio and other Proud Boys leaders gathered their team for a meeting, they spent most of their time discussing things like staying away from alcohol and women and taking measures to ensure their own security.

The recorded meeting makes no mention of any planning that might have occurred in the week directly before the Capitol attack. And while Mr. Tarrio suggests during the meeting that the complex structure he created for the Ministry of Self-Defense was meant to be self-protective — not offensive — in nature, prosecutors have claimed that the group’s “command and control” design was instrumental in facilitating the Capitol attack.

Advertisement – story continues below

Lawyers for the Proud Boys say the recorded meeting is a key piece of exculpatory evidence, contradicting claims by the government that a conspiracy to attack the Capitol was hatched several weeks before Jan. 6.”

Yes! And why should the people in Stockbridge and Monterrey care about drugs and shootings in Pittsfield? Gangs dominate retail-level drug distribution. Violent gang activity is like cancer. It will grow and spread. Competition will force it to take up residence elswhere like Lenox, then Richmond and so on. This is already happening and has been made worse because we elected a DA who is not a professional.

The phone lines were burning and the lies were flying.

Now they are preparing for some parking spot fight. They want 20% of the spots to turn over in three hours. Maybe somebody should ask how many spots there were before the streetscape project, how many were lost (on north street) and why they turned handicapped spots into parklets.
Why one business next to the theater can impede the sidewalk and double their capacity and be rude about it.

How many of those North street buildings with condos allow wealthy tennants to park all day in front of their business s? As each North street business fails and is bought up by investors and turned into (not affordable) housing there becomes a dire need for nearby parking. So where is that? What is the long term plan? Is it to eventually have them all park right on North street? It very well may be. It may very well be indeed.

So is that roundabout screw up a real thing? Cuz if it was real I think I would have read about it in the Eagle. They would have covered it (if it happened in another town)

Yeah. You can easily verify it by looking at the design of it versus any of the most recent installs of traffic circles in the area.
Adams has one., look at the one in GB. Drive it and you’ll see or measure it if you’re super curious.
The center curbing is flat and ramped, the entry points are at a slight angle, so you are flowing into it, not turning into the traffic circle. The center island diameter is larger and the traffic lanes are not impeded. In Adams they change the grade on the south bound side.
Ricky got pissed because because someone called him on it, iBerkshires maybe. He lied to them.
Anyway he’s pissed.

The mASS DOT/Williamstown moonbats, are going to FU intersection of Rts 7/43 the same way.

When is the mASShole D O T going to fix Holmes Rd bridge? Will my grandchildren see the new bridge when I’m gone? Or will it be next generation?

Hopefully the city wakes up tomorrow and shows up to city hall in support of the councilors who are trying to return the government back to the rightful citizens! If there was ever a time to show up and speak your 3 minutes tomorrow is it! Someone needs to go early and get recall papers on every councilor who voted for this obtuse budget! What a 4th of July it would be, the parade would definitely kick off with a bang!

Someone asked what the mayor has to do with other (than pittsfield) berkshire towns’ police departments. What is the answer? What’s Tyer got to do with it?

What stupid maneuvers will Kronick pull now? Table the discussion

You fools think Kronick is working for you, that he’s a “disruptor” of the GOB system. He’s just playing into the system or complicit with it. Wait and see.
Kronick is the Andrea Harrington of city councilors. Totally incompetent but has the job anyway.

The administration IS the GOB System. Those that pull the strings and are rewarded with large unnecessary contracts and tax-breaks are the same ones that have funded the GOB system for decades. Ruberto, Tyer,(Mr. and Mrs) Marchetti, Conant, MVPs of GOB network. And procedurally there is nothing left that Kronik can do to disrupt without a majority.

CORRUPTION. THE BOTTOM of THE BARREL IS AT THE TOP. Linda DEFINITALY. How did she get there? Probably by servicing the BOYS. S’ing and F’ing her way to the top . Right mikey. Hopefully what Charles has brought forward will help put a dent into the CORRUPTION and maybe this city will once again regain its reputation as a CITY, A COMMUNITY with a profound influence on World History.

I know another totally incompetent guy. I’ll give a few examples of his incompetence:

*this “vigilante” walks the Cumby’s parking lot on a Sunday night at 3AM, looking for trouble.

*took out a PPP loan for an accounting business during the pandemic, because as we all know, accountants need a remote office space. Because the job can’t be performed from home.

*sued his wife’s political competitor, because he was caught in an area of city hall on election night, he had no business being in.

I wouldn’t exactly call this guy the “Andrea Harrington of city councilors.” He’s more like the female version of current city council prez.

I have one better on you. Here is a guy who worked for Sherwood Guernsey as a lawyer who was so bad he was told he would not be considered for a partner (and I am told everyone makes partner). So he decided we would steal from his clients and the firm. Big mistake. He was so dumb and it was so obvious he was busted, and only avoided jail time because he cried like a baby in front of the judge. Was the laughing stock of North Adams, and wife tossed him out. Lost it all. Good riddance.

We don’t need another GOBSIG,

We don’t need to know the covid lies.
All we want is life beyond the grant funds.
… Looking for something
We can rely on
There’s gotta be something better out there
… Safety and Equity
Their day is coming (coming)
All else are affordable housing built in the air
… And I wonder when we
Are ever gonna change, change
Living under the fear
‘Til nothing else remains
… All the children say

We don’t want another GOBSIG.

The yet to be passed $50 billion fiscal year 2023 Massachusetts state budget is excessively expensive. Beacon Hill lawmakers are sitting on over $6.6 billion in surplus state cash (plus $2.3 billion “Biden Bucks”), which is a record high in the over 400-year history of Massachusetts government. Beacon Hill lawmakers give away a little less than $18 billion in state tax breaks per fiscal year to Boston area big businesses who in turn enrich the Boston area pols with large campaign contributions. When one adds $18 billion plus $6.6 billion that sum total is $24.6 billion. When one subtracts $24.6 billion from the yet to be passed $50 billion state budget that will begin this Friday, July 1st, 2022, the sum total is $25.4 billion. That is around 50 percent of the yet to be passed $50 billion state budget. Why are Beacon Hill lawmakers spending around double the tax dollars, while not passing any kind of low to moderate tax relief for the people and taxpayers of Massachusetts? Even if they gave $3.3 billion to state aid to local governments and public-school districts and the like, Beacon Hill lawmakers would still have $3.3 billion in surplus state cash to secretly spend behind closed doors under Boston’s Golden Dome. Lastly, Beacon Hill lawmakers cannot say they are not passing the state budget on time due to lack of state funds, so what is the hold up?
