THE DARK SIDE OF YESTERDAY: ARMAGEDDON or ARMISTICE? DISRUPTION or DESTINY? WHATCHY’ALL THINK?

PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, WEDNESDAY OCT. 9, 2022) — Yesterday.

Okay. You voted.

Or maybe you were smarter than that and didn’t vote.

Either way, you once again got the results you deserve.

Or maybe you got the result you didn’t deserve.

The point is, the mid-terms are technically over, launching now an interminable, headlong rush toward the insanity of the 2024 presidential election. Of course, in tax-happy Massachusetts, national and state elections have become meaningless given the Bay State’s gulag status as a one-party monolith, an unvaried and solidified slab that makes Stanley Kubrick’s 2001 version look like a cabinet of curiosities. In Pittsfield, 2023 brings us the muni elections, which will occupy head space of sycophants and wannabees. Only the shysters need apply. The Kapanskis? Prepare for your “medicine” once again.

Allow THE PLANET to leave that local nonsense and return to yesterday.

———- ooo ———-

What did yesterday produce? Armageddon or Armistice? Disruption or Destiny, which are, anyway, one and the same?

Nationally, Democrats campaigned on abortion all summer. That’s as clueless as cornering the market on anvils aboard the sinking Titanic. After the fool’s gold of an initial spark, abortive pyrite that Dems took for the real thing, it was “Bye Bye Baby, (Baby Goodbye).” Abortion flopped and floundered as marginal. All Dems had left (pun intended) was transgenders and pronouns. Pelosi, Shiff, Warren, Kamala, and the Usual Gang of Idiots warned of the “end of Democracy,” capital “D.”

As if we had a Democracy.

Pretty phunny.

———- ooo ———-

Solutions to America’s problems lie beyond any political party to redeem, and it is doubtful that out of our demise enough ordinary people can find the time, the courage, and the resources to save themselves. Hard to be a civic Joan of Arc when you’re being taxed to death and trying to win the daily struggle to stay alive and maybe have a few discretionary dollars at your disposal.

These are the problems that bloated pig-politicals do not have. In fact, the Kapanskis’ troubles are what keeps the pigs in power. As long as today’s breed of national, state, and local politicians foment enough sin, ordinary, law-abiding voters will suffer. Turnout will not approach the levels needs for collective change.

Until then, we remain a city, a state, and a country of individuals, free agents refusing to go to the Dark Side of Yesterday, whose greatest act of self-preservation may be to isolate even further.

THE PLANET welcomes your analysis of Yesterday.

The best election comes next year in 2023! Pittsfield politics will hold its mayoral election. Since 1997, Pittsfield’s mayors have been the late-Barstool (aka The Doyle Debacle), Aberration (aka The Hathaway Hack), Rolodex (aka The Ruberto Renaissance), Montello’s part-time mayor (aka The Bianchi Bust), and the sitting Vibrant & Dynamic Gated Community mayor (aka The Tyer Taxer) featuring Matt “Kufflinks” Kerwood (aka the Creative Public Accountant). I wonder what the next mayor will be sarcastically called.

And will this individual be promising a forensic audit during his or her campaign? Or will this person be promising the good old boys that there will NEVER, EVER, EVER be a forensic audit during his or her terms?

Please tell me Ruberto is not coming back.

It probably will be better to be in prison than to be living through the next 2 years in lyin biden and the steal group in charge!! At least in prison you have rights, 3 hots and a cot. Out in the real world there will be shortages in oil, food and other essentials needing to live You will also have a police force and legal system that will look the other way during crimes so I suggest everyone buckle up, lock the doors and load the defense items in your house to stay safe

Is he someone who would be willing to make sure that if Tyer somehow leaves any of the Covid money behind he will make sure it gets steered into the proper pockets? Is he a yes man? Puppet material?? Let’s hope the Legislature doesn’t screw with the law that says the state has to return surplus money to the citizens who paid the taxes. Now that they just instituted a new tax the state is sure to be rolling in the dough! In Pittsfield hopefully the school board is starting to look at redistricting and closing a couple of schools

BTW some voting shenanigans up in Nashua, NH. Close associates telling me the poll takers were not allowing people to vote same day even though they had their license with them. The person I know had to show the poll taker the law that was posted in line stating all you needed was your license with your ID. The poll takers were sending people away stating they needed a bill at their address, they wouldn’t take the car registration. Wonder what else was going on yesterday across the nation.

In Massachusetts, people should consider leaving if they can’t stand these far left policies. This state will now go totally far left. Join the rest of the young people and live off of big government, if you stay, because that will be the only way to survive and the far left knows it. Get used to the odor of skunk pot in the air because, it too, will become more prevalent. Unless you work for the school system which gave themselves a huge money grab last night with the Question 1. It was women and the school voters who turned everything in this state very far left.

How about being limited by big government and taxed out of your own city. Rents skyrocketing, skyrocketing heating prices and gasoline, no turkeys for Thanksgiving this year (except for school personnel who will manage to find one for their family). No the list is endless. Save yourselves and leave if you can.

Leave if you can. Seriously. Every local money manager except one is advising people to get the hell out and the sooner the better. Pittsfield is no place to raise children or try to accumulate a nest egg for retirement. It is almost impossible without high level connections.
Go west and take your chances because your chances here are negligible and your kids deserve so much better. In fact it is borderline child abuse to raise a kid in Pittsfield. It is a last resort for those who just cannot leave or for those who immigrated from an even worse situation. And by the looks of the names on the real estate pages buying houses in Pittsfield, many are coming from Central America. So good for them, but hopefully Pittsfield will be a stepping stone for them on their way to a more promising future.

My reasons:

1) Tax on estates and others in the umbrella spread of financial shrapnel issued from Fair Tax (they’re coming for our dollars not the ‘dirty dozen’ on the fair share propaganda sheets)
2) Dental insurance disruption – already unaffordable now to be completely irrelevant. Insurance competition drives lower costs. Arbitrary regulation prevents new competition and drives cost up
3) Auto insurers fleeing the Commonwealth returning us to the bad days on 1 option carriers(only now have to cover fraudsters.) Goodbye, Geico, Allstates. Hello, Commerce – one choice shopping.

Future of the State: Social Service hubs in all communities beyond the capitol. All your taxes will paint bike lanes and fund services for the indigent. Brings you back to #1.

The crappy politicians getting 6th terms and the Irish Mob in governor office is Bus. as usual. No reason to leave, no reason to stay.

I said yesterday – it’s crime that is grinding us to a halt. I mean top down. Crime is primarily theft (life or property.) People flee crime.

and all the manhole covers and storm drain covers are still lying on peoples lawns two months later even though the road has one layer of asphalt. (except where they then retrenched it for the water main) Are they even planning on putting them back? Has the contractor ever done this kind of work before? Will the job be easier once the snow comes and I am hearing possibly as early as next week? Is the guy in charge the same guy that was in charge of the bike lanes or homeless situation???

Can someone please make a call to Colorado and try to get some answers because the people on the street sure as hell don’t know anything.

This is called capitalism and motivation to be better, learn better and work harder. Even people who are poor can work and strive to become wealthy and have a good life. Time to swat the leeches from society. Limit government and increase opportunities for individuals. Use personal responsibilities which will foster a stronger country. Law and order should be restored, I find it funny that you constantly call for a forensic audit. This is funny because democrats, who you support consistently (actually all the time) are known for lying, hiding, breaking the laws and be outright slime bags who would never be able to run a real company,

I know you may be upset with some of the ballot questions but Question 3 not passing is a good thing. Listen, when every liquor store in town (owned by the same family) has “yes on 3” yard signs, buttons on employees, and social media videos that look like a hostage situation where a minimum wage employee reads a script about how good question 3 will be. It’s obvious that these folks just want more liquor licenses for increased profit.

The politicians buy their vote by financially taking care of them in exchange for the school personnel indoctrinating the kids in the schools and voting Democrat. High taxes for them are offset by the goodies this Question 1 will give them. These people don’t care about humanity. They are totally mercenary and looking out for themselves.

I wonder which one is the worst debacle in Pittsfield politics? Is it the PEDA debacle that is still very polluted and has millions of dollars in always growing debts and other liabilities as the years pass us all by? Is it Jimmy Ruberto’s Rolodex that legend says is at the rock bottom of Silver Lake? Is it Jimmy Ruberto’s failed downtown Renaissance that he made the fictional Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski pay for? Is it Nuciforo’s carte blanche to stink up residential neighborhoods with his pot growing odors? Is it Pittsfield’s Level 5 public school district that over 650 students opt out of each and every academic year? Is it Mayor Linda Tyer’s over $200 million Pickleball budget that takes no account of the predicted upcoming economic recession in 2023? Is it Matt Kerwood’s secretive multimillion-dollar Slush Funds that should belong in local taxpayers’ pockets. Is it Pittsfield politics always increasing municipal spending by 5 percent each and every fiscal year going back the last 40 years, which was the beginning of the flawed Proposition 2.5 state law? Is it Pittsfield always being in the top 10 cities in Massachusetts for violent crime, according to the FBI’s annual reports going back decades? Is it dangerous downtown Pittsfield’s daily shootings, the over 1,000 gang members living in inner-city Pittsfield neighborhoods, and the dozens of empty storefronts on North Street? Is it upscale art galleries and museums in London, U.K., NYC and L.A. hosting visual art exhibits of postindustrial Pittsfield which they entitle: “Pittsfield: A City in Decay”?

According to the Berkshire Eagle, the Millionaires Tax (Question 1) was passed with gusto in Berkshire County. Not so much in the rest of the state who knows that the money goes to people already getting more than their “fair share”. I never have heard of such an unfair question. The money should go to ALL of the people of the state if they insist on doing it, which I don’t even agree with, but to just a select group? They just threw the road infrastructure in there to make people think it’s something for everybody, but there will undoubtedly be little oversight of where the money goes.

Question 4 passed in this state which is not shocking. Illegal immigrants are already voting here and question 4 was just to make it legal since state politicians passed it on their own a long time ago. Maura Healey coasted in to a win on school employees and illegal immigrant votes. Will local employers now give every worker more sick time and vacation time or is Maura Healey’s win only going to benefit the select few?

Dina Guiel should be suspended from all boards and commissions as it is perfectly clear that she does not have the ability to understand the issues in front of her. Where’s votes on issues of extreme importance are basically null and void.

All of her votes reflect the administrations positions, being a rubber stamp is not what we need on the city Council either. Guiel should be recalled, we have enough bootlickers on the city council, she gets the booby prize hands-down. Does anyone know the procedure for getting rid of this councilor for incompetence? Now that Question 4 passed, are the hard working taxpayers going to now purchase a vehicle for them and also pay for their auto insurance? Massachusetts has gone beyond being Taxachusetts, it has sunk to FreeForSomechusetts! Those that have spent their lives working and paying high taxes to build a better life received absolutely NOTHING in return especially in Pittsfield.

True. Especially when only certain groups received the freebies and everyone else works their tails off to pay for them. The only thing that seems to strike fear into the money grabbers is when anyone mentions people leaving the state. They know that even if they pile in the illegal immigrants, it won’t equal the money they will lose if high earners leave the state. Without the tax income their money grabbing scheme is cooked.

The only thing that seems to scare the money grabbers is if you urge people to leave Massachusetts. They know if enough high earners leave, their money grabbing scheme is in jeopardy.

Florida, which was once one of the most disorganized states in the country when it came to voting, is now able to efficiently have all elections results on the night of the election. Florida used to be made fun of and now they are a model for the rest of the country of how to do voting tallies quickly. Many states may take much more than a few days. This is outrageous.

Time is to ballots as distance is to depth charges.

Both decrease accuracy. I suspect that the drive for early and mail in balloting is not direct fraud but to promote inefficiency which is a challenge to accuracy.

The thing is I think Florida also does early voting and mail-in ballots, but they manage to do it efficiently.

Florida is fast because everyone they wanted to win won and nobody dares question madman DiSantis. If any democrats won they would be doing recounts and going through the court system and you know it.
But a lot of peeps is saying that DiSantis is planning on kicking your guy Trump to the curb very soon. Should be interesting to see where Trumps fan base goes on that.

Trump supporters would easily back DiSantis if he is the Republican candidate in 2024.

I don’t know it. By your theory states are slow in counting if they have something to gain by going slow and dragging out the process. Does that also apply to all of the far left states that are still counting ballots?

It appears to be impossible to find the town by town vote totals anywhere. Are they trying to hide something?

City has already spended money on the water plant. No questions asked. It’s a runaway train at the sewer plant. Your rates are going to sky rocket without any due diligence. They’re to worried about chicken coop permits.

So far we’ve seen only a couple councilors who have called out the administrative policies that directly affect the taxpayer here locally. I would like to tell the rest of them. You represent the taxpayers in your ward and city wide. NOT the ADMINISTRATION
