PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE,  WEDNESDAY FEB. 22, 2023) — Seems that while THE PLANET and everyone else were all asleep Sunday-into-Monday, Syracuse Joe hopped a freight train and snuck over to Kiev, Ukraine, where he met with fellow comedian Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“That’s two “z”s, as Buddy Sorrell used to say about his “r”s and “l”s.

Biden, Vlad, and Buddy: three human joke machines.

By the way, the train that the President took to Ukraine didn’t derail once.

———- ooo ———-

Having dodged that bullet, Biden assured the billionaire Zelenskyy of an additional $500 million of Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski’s money to buy Mr. Z some shiny new weapons to continue his fight with that other Vlad, Mr. Putin, a Bogeyman, Monster, Blackboard Scratcher rolled into one.

Allow THE PLANET to crunch the numbers. To date, the Kapanskis have sent roughly — extremely roughly — $100 billion to Zelenskyy [source USA Today, 2/20/23]. Salon puts the bill at $110 billion. Ah, a billion here, a billion there, pretty soon we’ll be talking about real money.

The war’s has been going on for exactly one year come Friday. That works out to about $28 million a day, $1.15 million an hour, $191,000 each second.

———- ooo ———-

Back in the USSR … and Ukraine

The $100 billion to Ukraine and growing may soon approach the $146 billion the U.S. wasted in Afghanistan, and that was over 20 years. And get this. Despite the staggering amount begin funneled in Ukraine, the Department of Defense “was unable to provide end-use monitoring” of the money.” That conclusion came from the Pentagon’s inspector general. Translated into civilianese, it means U.S. taxpayers have no accounting and oversight once the $$$ arrive in Zelenskyy’s hands, to dole out as he wishes. The out-of-control corruption among Ukraine officials is a running joke. Tell you what, though, no one on THE PLANET is laughing.

All this comes as

  • (a) VP Harris says Russia has committed “crimes against humanity.”
  • (b) Defense Secretary Blinken met with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Li, lecturing him about supplying Russia with “lethal aid.”
  • (c) Blinken also warned China not to get “too close to Russia.”

Where does one begin with such hypocrisy?

———- ooo ———-

As for (a), ALL wars, throughout all history, constitute crimes against humanity. To single out this one would be to become tone deaf to war’s inhuman song.

When it comes to (b), Blinken’s stupefying tone ranks as unbelievable. He issues threats to Li about supplying “lethal aid,” when the United States and NATO (through America’s arm twisting) has armed Zelenskyy to the gums. Since when does America have the right to direct China’s foreign policy? This type of “ugly Americanism” has characterized the Biden Administration’s foreign policy from day one. The result?

  • A new “Cold War” against China.
  • Rallying nuclear weapons developments in Russia and North Korea
  • A proxy war with Russia that has ICBMs on hair-trigger alert, which the Joint Chiefs probably see as temptation.
  • Moving the Doomsday Clock closer to midnight than anytime in history.

In response to Blinken haughty comments, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Wang Wenbin said, “It is the U.S., not China, that has been pouring weapons into the battlefield. The U.S. is in no position to tell China what to do. We would never stand for finger-pointing, or even coercion and pressurizing from the U.S. on our relations with Russia.” THE PLANET agrees with Wenbin.

China’s objection covers (c) as well. There’s gall, there’s nerve, there’s stupidity, and then there’s Biden’s foreign policy. Telling a sovereign nation with whom it can have relations smacks of the worst level of American hubris. It also reveals the depth to which Biden, Blinken, and Nod have sunk when it comes to Sino diplomacy.

China actually has been the voice of calm and reason in the Ukraine crisis. The best way to end the nightmare in Ukraine is for Zelenskyy to accede the eastern Donbas region to Russia, declare victory, and go back to telling jokes on his billions.

Have a great weekend, everybody.

It’s why in the red states, the D’s attack ads seemed to outnumber the Republican ads, 10-1.

Ukraine is the perfect money launderer for Barry, Big Mike, Xiden, John Kerry, and all of those other “climate change” nutjobs.

Look at some of these candidates the D’s literally roll out, like John Fetterman.

In fairness to Fetterman, I would take him over Tricia Farley-Country Buffet (D-illegal immigrants). Both of them are worthless as politicians. Fetterman is just a tad more photogenic than TFCB…..and that ain’t sayin’ much.

Blogger Dan Valenti edited out over 90 percent of my post on Planet Valenti. I hope to ask: What the Hell is the difference between Joe Biden (& John Forbes Kerry & Hillary Clinton) voting 20 years ago in the U.S. Senate for George W. Bush’s invasion of Iraq (which has the world’s 2nd largest oil reserves second only to MBS’ Saudi Arabia) versus Putin’s Russian invasion of Ukraine one year ago and Xi’s Chinese planned invasion of Taiwan that is predicted to take place in 2025? Is NOT Joe Biden the pot calling the kettles – Putin & Xi – black? The U.S. Government started the military invasions of foreign countries in the 21st Century. What the Hell did the U.S. Government expect would happen after Bush with Biden’s full support invaded Iraq for its oil?

The difference is during the four years under President Trump vs. Bush/Clinton/Barry/Xiden, is we had NO WARS under President Trump. Mean tweets don’t start wars JM.

Pussy-willows and easily triggered “males” like you voted for this. Mean tweets and locker room guy talk offended you JM, remember?

I certainly do. You posted about it ad nauseum.

Instead of questioning your fellow posters, why don’t you explain to us how laundering all the money to Ukraine has helped you out JM. It certainly hasn’t helped me, my family, or my retirement plans.

Why do you attempt to rewrite history? This actually happened in your life time. Iraq was the aggressor attacking one of the countries we had an agreement with to protect. Hence we helped a little country stay free. Unfortunately the only way Hussein could stay in power was to stay in a state of war so he couldn’t follow the peace treaty that he signed. Correct me if I’m wrong but I didn’t see Ukraine try to invade anyone nor Tawain.

The “big guy” went over to get his 10% and Hunter’s paycheck.

This corruption goes back to Sotero when he and the CIA, had Zelensky installed, 2014.

Meanwhile Traitor Joe: has no regard for America with horde’s of criminals pouring across the border, out of control price increases for food and energy, Chi-Com spy balloons allowed to overfly nuclear weapons installations, a “woke” military leadership more concerned with gender pronouns than being an effective fighting force, and a leftist federal government which employs as workers, every kind of pervert and deviant known to man.

The PhD-of ‘Da Grift,’ aka-the cultural competency coach, taking a family and friends trip to Africa with her slice of the ARPA pie count as “constant movement”?

Of course this in addition to whatever other fraudulent ways the money has “constant movement,” or in layman’s terms, disappeared.

Yes – that would blow the whole organization apart. If the US insists on Euro’s paying their share for defending their stupid borders, borders that they alone don’t recoginize anymore under E.U., that’s a show-stopper.

Why should the Euros pay anything at all? Their wars have always, since Wilson, been OUR problem. For example, Hitler invades France, they lay down their arms and become nazis. It’s up to the USA to fix that.

The Euro’s collectively ruined the 20th century. They burnt it completely down. Enlightenment? Poof! That burnt fast and hot. Classical thought? Whoosh! It would have been a fabulous century if they weren’t around. We’d be fine if an asteroid smashed that part of the continent and left nothing behind (joke, of course, for those with no sense of hyperbole). But no, we got WWI, WWII, genocides, shit-philosophy, nihilism, and organized-crime states.

Now they are getting started, in the appropriate decade at that, to ruin the 21’st century. I agree with the sentiment that a bit of care and skepticism should be afforded the excesses of Europe.

My thought on the Ukraine is that we bought it by appeasing Putin since 2014. Now that he bust in, we need to pin point how to defeat what remains of a weak and recycled army. That probably lies in air control to eliminate trenches, command logistics, and hardware. I suspect we don’t do that because it would preclude the waste and fraud.

The chief executives of Pfizer, BioNTech and Moderna have shared more than $100mn in pay during the pandemic reflecting the huge commercial success of the mRNA Covid vaccines developed by their pharmaceutical companies. Albert Bourla of Pfizer, Ugur Sahin of BioNTech and Stéphane Bancel of Moderna have also seen their paper wealth grow over the past two years because of share price increases driven by investor enthusiasm for companies developing Covid-19 vaccines and treatments. The mRNA vaccines made by Pfizer, BioNTech and Moderna have saved millions of lives during the pandemic while also transforming the companies developing them and prompting a surge in share prices. Pfizer’s stock price is up 60 per cent over the past 24 months, while the value of BioNTech and Moderna’s shares has tripled and increased by five times, respectively. Moderna’s Bancel and Sahin of BioNTech have become paper billionaires as a result of their 7.8 per cent and 17.1 per cent shareholdings in the companies, which are worth about $5.4bn and $7.8bn, respectively. The BioNTech/Pfizer jab generated $37.5bn in revenues last year and Moderna’s shot made $17bn, according to Airfinity, a data group. An analysis of the remuneration packages of the mRNA vaccine makers in 2020 and 2021 shows that Pfizer chief Bourla was awarded the biggest pandemic pay rise. He received $45.3mn in 2020-2021, compared with $27.7mn in 2018-2019, a period during which he was promoted from chief operating officer to CEO in January 2019. Sahin received $30.8mn in remuneration in 2020-21, compared with $8.5mn in 2018/2019. Bancel’s total remuneration fell during the pandemic, declining from $67.5mn in 2018-2019 to $31.1mn in 2020-2021. But that was primarily because of a one-off gain following Moderna’s IPO in 2018 which netted him $58.6mn of stock option gains. Total remuneration at the three Jefferies, an investment bank. Recommended Covid-19 vaccines Covid-19 vaccine tracker: Lowest-income countries lag further behind rest of the world “Most investors do not have an issue with executives getting fairly compensated, particularly when they have overseen such an increase in company value.” The biopharma industry said the rewards were justified given the extraordinary efforts made by leaders during the pandemic in developing Covid jabs. “Thanks to their hard work, we achieved a vaccine in record time and currently have multiple vaccines available — enough to reach every corner of the globe,” said John Murphy, chief policy officer at Bio, an industry trade group. Bancel has cashed in on the phenomenal rise in market capitalisation of Moderna by selling $404mn of shares since January 2020, according to data from Verity. Bourla sold $5.6mn of shares on the same day that Pfizer and BioNTech said their vaccine was 90 per cent effective against Covid. The “windfall profits” drew fire from Elizabeth Warren, liberal Democratic senator, who called on the SEC to consider regulatory “reforms that would prevent abusive practices”. Sahin has not made any significant share sales. Pfizer said Bourla’s bonus was appropriate based on his exceptional leadership, his focus on long-term strategy and his contributions to the company’s performance in 2021. Moderna said the increase in executive pay reflected significantly expanded responsibilities during the pandemic. It added that 94 per cent of Bancel’s 2021 award was performance-based and consisted mainly of equity awards tied to the company’s performance over a four-year period. Neither side in this fight cares about the people. We are looking at worldwide starvation if this war continues and escalates, but nobody wants to do anything to stop it. Why? Both sides want a war to take control of the world. Either Russia/Iran/China vs. the globalists. We are all stuck in the middle of their fight.

I believe Barry Sotero and Big Mike have realized that cheating on election day has run its course. They’ve done it twice and know the third time won’t be a charm.

What’s left to ensure the D’s stay in power: a world war.

China’s getting ready to attack Taiwan. Iran is building a nuclear weapon that they have earmarked for Israel. Who knows what North Korea will do? And “The Big Guy” is pushing Russia into World War III.

All of this over FUC**NG Ukraine.

If ‘mean tweets’ and ‘locker room-guy talk,’ triggered people like JM, TSC, and other likeminded posters, so much so that they supported Joe Xiden and his policies. The thought of WWIII being brought on by their supreme leader must have them eating a steady diet of baby food, mashed bananas, and wearing Depends’ diapers on a daily basis to control their “triggered attacks.”

And what is the alternative? In the globalist/isolationist guns/butter debate, we need to consider what the consequences would be if we take a more isolationist stance. We’d lose the support of a weakened NATO, and China would expand its semi-colonial hegemony over Africa and the Philippines, and would threaten Japan and Korea. Saying the Dems are skimming off the top implies that the GOP would not do the same. Pence supports the aid given to Ukraine. And I don’t use scare quotes when I say aid.

“and China would expand its semi-colonial hegemony over Africa and the Philippines, and would threaten Japan and Korea.”

You mean China is not expanding its hegemony over the entire globe, including us? They made great headway the last 3 years. It’s not semi-colonial – it’s colonial King Leopold’s Style with complete exploitation and enslavement and very similar to what Conrad described in Heart of Darkness.

With Biden’s war strategy, all China has to do is merely threaten to feed the russian army and we shit bricks. It’ll be like Reagan pouring trillions into Afganistan and breaking the Soviet’s bank.

What to do with Ukraine? Give them Predators and jets and let them take over the skies. Let them run 500 sorties a day and the Russian front would be the russians’ no man’s land. Give the Ukrainians air dominance and the war is done. Get the war done fast! But no, with Biden and his neuter NATO, Ukraine needs to wait a year for some tanks, barely enough for 100 miles of fighting at that, and we keep the military industries happy. This is a war profiteer’s bonanza. Just wait for the carpetbaggers when the doors open for reconstruction.

Interesting that the Europeans, with just a few shipments of arms say they are running out of tanks and rounds and most of them gave nothing. Yet the non-NATO countries seem to be alright and able to contribute weapons. This is why Biden’s losing the American people on this war. He should be here talking to us, not the Polish PM.

Putin would have to sell a nuclear strike to his sponsors first. I think they’d murder him then and there. There’s no money for them in post-nuclear holocaust Russia.

Nothing to fear.

Putin has family as well to think about. The security of his ‘legacy’ is in the hands of his sponsors. Suicide is the leading cause of death for wealthy powerful Russians.

He can threaten to use nukes, but his situation in the Ukraine precludes them given his weak hold on power. Ordering a strike would be the hot excuse his rivals would want to depose him and his heirs.

What support? Where are the NATO troops defending the Mexican border? And I doubt China intervening in countries could turn out as bad as when the USA does it. Maybe it won’t go so well for Japan, but that’s the WWII bill coming due

When the Chinese intervene in countries, they strip mine them and leave their governments hopelessly in debt to them. They operate like loan-sharks, and are about as nice as them.

We probably do not even want to know how much American real estate and infrastructure China owns or has control over. And I am not even kidding.

Get ready for this statistic – China owns 981 billion dollars in U.S debt. That means we owe China nearly a trillion dollars! But wait, let us explain.

Wow, Cunha, Coakley and Healy knew there were other chemists who falsified lab tests and they laid the full blame on Dookhan.

For years, state officials insisted that Annie Dookhan was solely responsible for falsified drug testing at the Hinton Drug Lab from 2003 to 2012, which led to the overturning of thousands of convictions in the biggest drug lab scandal in US history. But the newly released records from a state investigation into the scandal identified at least four other lab employees who may have falsified tests or helped cover it up. All had been referred to the attorney general’s office for possible criminal charges several years ago, but the allegations were never made public until last week.

Trump looked so presidential. Biden should take notes. Biden nearly fell down the airplane steps again today, but that doesn’t stop even Independent voters who lean left from saying they will vote for him even with though he is one step away from a retirement home. Many in the public don’t care who is president because they know that the real people running Washington will push through their far left agenda of letting them live off the government. They just need a figurehead so anyone will do except someone who wants to get rid of the corruption in Washington.

So glad we’re getting lots of snow for the next few days. The Berkshire Eagle was promoting climate change and green energy by saying that February has never had so little snow. We may still get less snow for a typical February, but that doesn’t justify the push toward green energy and all of the sacrifices people, especially the poor and middle class, will be forced to make all in the name of making certain people richer.

The rise and fall of the polar icecaps and ensuing glaciation over the past millions of years has occurred mainly because of variations in the earth’s tilt and distance from the sun. We are currently in a warming period that began with glacial retreat about 20k years ago. You can’t stop it, but you can speed it up by filling the atmosphere with burned carbon.

It’s been going on for 20,000 years, but only now are we taking action against global warming? Who is to say that attacking carbon will do any good and that Mother Nature isn’t just doing what Mother Nature does? You admit that climate change can’t be stopped only maybe it can be managed. That’s a lot of upset of people’s lives for such minimal results and electric cars may be good in the future, but we are far from being ready for them now, especially with everyone having an electric vehicle which is why so many would end up on public transportation.

When I watched TV tonight – Wednesday, 2/22/2023 – I watched a TV commercial advertising Massachusetts’ new $50 scratch ticket. I thought about Dan Bosley’s legacy on Beacon Hill, including him being a double dipper public pensioner and greedy lobbyist in Boston (and beyond). I thought to myself that all of the (voluntary) taxation revenues from the 50-year-old lottery SCAM over the years have greatly benefited all of the corrupt career politicians turned greedy Beacon Hill lobbyists’ campaign coffers and wallets alike. Meanwhile, I receive political emails stating that an estimated one out of three families in Massachusetts are financially and food insecure, which the lottery SCAM exploits the most. I thought to myself that the new TV commercial hawking the new $50 scratch ticket should have told the story of Daniel Bosley’s decades of profiting off of the financially exploited low- to moderate-income residents of Massachusetts instead of glamorizing its newest SCAM product.

How much money did they blow on salt today, totally not needed all they had to do is plow, how do I know?because I just shoveled that stuff.comes snow uunderneath it was pure asphalt in my driveway no ice.

What they did was they evidently pretreated it left it mushy plowed it and now they’re gonna have to plow it again if it snows anyway. You really can’t tell if they plowed before they treated it because when I got up it was mushy and hard?

No storm alert call from the mayor last night. Cars parked all over the roads so that the plows, (the two that were out) had to plow around them. Backass management making it harder for all concerned. Will plow a little more tonight when it all freezes over. Last time she said they could not use salt because it did not work at such low temperatures. What is the excuse this time?
