UNITED WAY’s “DIE” POLICY SHOULD GIVE ONE PAUSE BEFORE LETTING GO OF HARD-EARNED DOLLAR$
BY DAN VALENTI
PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY
(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, MAY 22, 2023) — Recently, the Berkshire chapter of United Way honored community volunteers, without whom, of course, it could not carry out its mission, which, in its own words, “ignites the collective power of individuals and organizations to build a stronger community together.”
Sounds good and is good.
The “however” in this is concern over the “new” United Way mission. As listed on its website:
Everyone Matters in Berkshire County
Approved by the Board of Directors | November 19, 2021
Berkshire United Way believes that to improve people’s lives and our community, we must strive to ensure that the staff, board of directors, volunteers, and partner organizations reflect and include the communities we serve. Berkshire United Way commits itself to enriching community experiences through the advancement of diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, anti-racist, and anti-oppressive practices.
To value diversity is to respect and appreciate all race, religion, skin color, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical abilities, age, parental status, work and behavioral styles, and to respect the varied perspectives of each individual, as shaped by their origin and experience.
To be inclusive is to leverage diversity by bringing together unique individual backgrounds to address the issues facing our communities collectively and more effectively.
We maintain that building and sustaining equity in our county requires an ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging that is fully expressed in our organizations, cultures, values, norms, and behaviors and those of our partners. Our mission compels us to prioritize historically marginalized and systemically excluded people. It is necessary to focus on race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status as well as intersectional identities to end historical, social, and systemic inequities that persist in our county. We must inclusively lead, collaborate, and mobilize resources to address community needs and priorities.
Berkshire United Way will enforce its non-discrimination policy and equity minded hiring practices while promoting diversity, equity, inclusiveness, and belonging in Board and volunteer recruitment efforts and in the consideration of partnerships with community organizations.
We believe inequitable systems prevent families from living their fullest potential lives and we believe in intentionally making decisions that provide fair treatment, access, and opportunity for all. Ultimately, we strive to look beyond diversity, equity, and inclusion, and hope all people feel they belong within Berkshire County and our community.
And this, from a recent wire story:
United Way’s website (https://equity.unitedway.org/
Check out the link. It’s a doozy.

UW gets its money from workplace campaigns, corporate gifts, sponsorships, grants, and individual donations. The workplace campaigns too often become political shakedowns, mandatory if you want to remain in good graces.
THE PLANET knows a case close to home where a worker was harassed then demoted for choosing not to participate in the company’s United Way grab. From then on we reserved “community chest” for Monopoly.
The woke United Way boils down to one question: Do you want you money to go to an organization that has formally adopted the racist, exclusionary practices of DIE?
Local UW president Candace Winkler receives compensation of $110,554. Finance director Valerie Schueckler hauls $92,435. THE PLANET realizes this is chump change compared to what a grifter can make working for municipal government, but it’s not a bad gig for a “job” that involves no lifting heavier than schmoozing with The Suits.
Roll call of local UW officers:
Christina Wynn | Chair Berkshire Community College
Michael Stoddard | Vice Chair Greylock Federal Credit Union
Ursula Maloy | Treasurer General Dynamics Mission Systems
Fr. Samuel Smith | Clerk St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
DIRECTORS
Pat Callahan, volunteer; Jaime Campbell, Williams College; Jason Cuyler, Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office; Warren Dews Jr., Capital Region Independent Media; Laurie Gallagher, volunteer; Jennifer Glockner, City of Pittsfield; Barbara Guido, Adams Community Bank; Matthew Kirchner, PPD; Chuck Leach, Lee Bank; Rachel Mabee, PGA WORKS; Veronica Martin, Berkshire Health Systems; Douglas McNally, volunteer; Chris Montferret, General Dynamics; Dr. Jason Ostrander, Sacred Heart University; David Reinhart, volunteer; Alycia Sacco Duquette, Guardian Life Insurance Company of America; and Chris Smith, Hillcrest Educational Centers.
———- ooo ———-
Considering how “diversity” now means “sameness, “inclusion” now means “ostracizing,” and “equity” now means “injustice,” THE PLANET respectfully proposes United Way change its name to “Divided Way.”

Social Services Alley and the Ring of Poverty distressed neighborhoods that surround North Street, Pittsfield politics’ “DIE” zeitgeist, local banks and not-for-profit organizations pandering to the leftists, Tricia Farley-Bouvier testifying in Boston for the legalization of “Happy Endings” massage parlors, Luciforo’s corrupt Pot Kingdom on Dalton Avenue stinking up nearby residential neighborhoods, Mayor Linda Tyer living in a mansion in a Gated Community within a few feet from the Hancock border, Peter Marchetti holding public hearings on the Mayor’s proposed municipal budget of over $205.6 million in return for the same old “shit sandwich” full of substandard services, John Krol promising to bring miracles to inner-city Pittsfield, Craig Gaetani continuing his legacy of fringe politics in memory of the late-Peter Arlos. What is it all for in the City of Pittsfield, Massachusetts? The answer is for all of the phony political, community and business insiders to pull down 6-figure salaries, while the common people roll their eyes at them!
Maybe Tricia can get them to have a brothel in Hancock. Hancock Happy Endings;)
Hand cock happy endings, she wrote.
What do you call a “Happy Ending” massage in Pittsfield? Punchline: DIE hard.
Maybe I’ll donate if they put Henry Winkler in charge. Fonzi rules. Go woke go broke and drink a Bud Light.
Amen
Dan. Thanks to you…..it’s working…
There are local groups like UNICO, Lions, Civitan and Kiwinas to name a few that take donations and help people. They are staffed with unpaid volunteers. Give money to them if you are inclined to give. UW spends more on administration than helping people.
I agree. Ones charitable contributions can certainly be better directed and has more chance to help the people you intended. I know several people who work for BMC and would rather not contribute to UW but are afraid not to. And that is not right.
The low intellect crowd considers the UW an actual charity.
In 1992, William Aramony, CEO of the national organization for over 20 years, retired amid allegations of fraud and financial mismanagement, of which he was subsequently convicted. He was sentenced to seven years in prison and fined $300,000.[87][88]
In 2004, Oral Suer, the CEO of United Way of the National Capital Area in Washington, D.C., was convicted of misuse of donations. He pleaded guilty to theft of almost $500,000 and was sentenced to 27 months in prison.[89][90][91] Norman O. Taylor, Suer’s replacement, was never charged with misconduct but was forced to resign.[89]
In 2006, Ralph Dickerson Jr., the former CEO of United Way of New York City, was found to have used $227,000 in United Way funds for personal expenses during 2002 and 2003. He later agreed to reimburse the organization.[89]
After the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, the United Way of Western Connecticut was criticized by some victims’ family members for a lack of transparency in fundraising. According to those critical of the agency, the money was raised in a way that implied it would be used for the families, but then much of it re-purposed for broader community needs. As the organization focuses on community long term work, the United Way stated that majority was intended to go to non-exclusive, community support programs like counseling, after school or job-support programs; however, this angered those who felt the money should go directly to the families of those affected.[92]
In 2021, United Way Worldwide CEO Brian Gallagher resigned over claims of mishandled complaints of sexual harassment and discrimination at the United Way Worldwide office.[93][94] Three female employees had filed complaints with the EEOC alleging they experienced sexual harassment and that they were retaliated against by United Way Worldwide after speaking out about the harassment.[95][96]
Wow great post!
Why is it a great post? What is his argument?
He frames his point with saying that if you disagree with him that UW is a [presumably] effective charity, you are low-intellect. Why?
Yes, this is the dribbled leaking of a councilor whom I know. Notice that he references names that have no local ties. For example, he does not mention Hazzard’s involvement in the death of Mr. Calamari. Safe distance for a politician looking for street-cred. that are badly bruised.
*disagree that UW is a charitible organization. Though, he strictly states that you must agree that UW is NOT an actual charity.
Weak language.
Charles. Old saying by the Greek God. Don’t chase criticism.
True, but no criticism comes from this guy.
I’d rather chase criticism than chase Jim Brown.
Chasing criticism reveals stuff.
Half my job as councilor is to reveal the shit.
SIR CHAZ
As a general rule, “Don’t chase criticism” is a decent guide in public life. There are times, however, when the chase is justified by the nature and source of the criticism. They key is to spot the exceptions and then attack.
If you hide, you don’t see.
SIR CHAZ isn’t that smart.
We wish you did at least half your job!
Nice one, MILT. He was the plum in your backfield when you QBs the Browns.
Great post because it shows the UW has a history of corruption.
Fair enough. But the assertion is false – is UW not ‘an actual charity?’ He means to say that it performs no charitable purpose.
Lot’s of large charitable orgs have corruption. Red Cross is scandal plagued, but on account of change in leadership (GWB?). Earlier, responding to political strategies that made IRC incompatible with US Red Cross values, the US RC had severed its relationship with the INternational RC. So, US RC was not always a scandal, and there is little reason to assume it will be in the future.
QT’s critique of UW is intended to paint himself anti-UW, but he carefully avoids alienating regional leaders. He is criticizing, in fact, neither the organization which is too big to care, or the local leaders. That was a post he would have been safe to put his name on.
Like I said the low intellect crowd considers it a charity. You’ve proven where your intellect is. Low, very low. You can’t go a day without posting dozens of posts, using cuss words, and showing your racist tendencies. They shine through no matter how hard you try and hide them.
You won’t be missed.
I rest my case.
Also – definitely not Warren. Warren, a lawyer, would not expose himself to a costly defamation suit and be so ill prepared. I suggest we stop talking here and leave it to our lawyers.
Thanks!
The United Way is a racket followed closely by the Red Cross. Give to local organizations that donate pay staff. Volunteer s rule.
We agree, too, about the Red Cross.
And what is with this annual begathon with the 4th of July parade? Why don’t they use their dubious CPA money for that? The mayor has an over 200 million dollar budget which is used for all kinds of goodies like flowers and events at the Common etc and countless other feel good stuff. Just take the goddamn parade money out of that and stop with the pathetic panhandling for the parade. My guess is that there is an administrative fee for the gathering and accounting of these funds and who knows who gets that?
SNARK
Yes, the parade panhandling is embarrassing. Plus, 100Gs for a hometown parade? Outrageous. But its one of the vehicles Peter M. uses to win and keep his hold on office. Smart move on his part.
What if the citizens, showed up to the parade with spoiled produce and rotten eggs, for any/all politicians participating in the parade?
Plan B would be tar and feathers.
The Divided Way not only discriminates against white folk, they financially support the murder of unborn children.
And abortion has a disparate impact on blacks and other people of color, so that goes to show how much black lives really don’t matter to them.
Over the weekend I started to ponder the crisis of Faith that citizens have in their government and status quo (no not prid quo pro Joe). I was wondering what if the citizens demanded a shut down like the mills use to do? Could we tell the government we don’t want them for a year? I don’t see how things would be too much different. I see people breaking the laws every day without recourse, level 5 education(if even that high), a government that doesn’t listen to the citizens(I have yet to see one of my complaints rectified or even discussed). I think the $40 million in ARPA can keep the water and sewer running which is the main benefit most citizens receive from the government. The Kapanski’s could use the year of tax free living doing whatever they want, maybe exploring their roots on a family excursion.
As for the United Way my family stopped giving years ago when they changed their mission and were caught having mile high parties and spending on executive perks. It is plain extortion that is permitted because you can’t say no unless you can withstand the backlash. Someone in my family actually had someone donate in their name so the company could say 100% donated!
And they supposedly give away a car or at least used to. One year the mayor of Pittsfield won it. Has any “regular blue collar” unconnected type ever won it and if so who was it?
I find it a little troubling that no one posted a reason the citizens/taxpayers should keep paying their taxes so the city continues to function in the current way. Even the clowncilors who post on here couldn’t defend the feces they spread!
One reason your taxes keep skyrocketing. Another Millionaire owned business eating your lunch. And you know there is ZERO chance this is denied. Keep in mind senior citizens on fixed incomes scratching and clawing to keep you home that if you are late paying YOUR taxes you will be hit with a nice penalty, courtesy of the same folk giving breaks to people who do not even need the help.
Mill Town Seeking TIF for Bousquet SportBy Brittany PolitoiBerkshires Staff
05:30AM / Monday, May 22, 2023Print Story | Email Story
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Mill Town Capital is requesting a 10-year tax increment financing agreement for the redevelopment of the former Berkshire West into Bousquet Sport.
On Tuesday, the City Council will be presented with a TIF that is expected to save the investment firm about $215,000 in real estate taxes over a decade, starting at 100 percent in fiscal 2025 and decreasing to 10 percent by fiscal 2034.
That’s bull crap. Businesses already pay twice the rate of residential taxpayers. Tax bills keep going up because spending keeps going up.
And the spending is by and large on fluff feel good woke joke crap.
Not near true. But my point is that these mega million dollar investment groups do not NEED the tax break. It is chump change for them. They just take it because they can. But the struggling homeowner could definitely use it and no one is offering them any help/
You should tune in to the budget hearings if you don’t believe spending is why taxes are going up so much. Instead you blame a business that has made enormous investments in your unloveable town. Typical Pittsfielder. You’re the reason GE pulled out of this godawful place.
Who needs United Way? Contribute directly to the organization / charity of your choice – then you’re not helping to pay the exorbitant salaries of UW employees.
Rule 27 brought up a good point – how much of your UW donation is used for administrative costs? How much of your donation actually finds its way to its intended charity target? That’s a question I ask of any organization I donate to, whether it be Salvation Army, T2T, etc.
It IS a corporate shakedown. In a former job I received a visit from the HR VP because I was the only one in the dept. not contributing to UW. I explained to him that I didn’t support some of the organizations that UW contributes to, and preferred to donate to charities of my choosing like my church and pro-life orgs. After being verbally threatened by him, I found better employment elsewhere since I knew I’d be blackballed.
Ditch United Way and go direct!
I too was blackballed over refusing to donate because they support abortion.
Same thing happened to Bill Cosby.
I guess it’s easier to be a loud mouth than to read instructions. Employees are able to earmark United Way contributions to a specific organization, such as your church. I did it, and I know they got 100% because they sent me a receipt for taxes. But I suspect you knew this and the real reason you didn’t participate is you’re a cheap f*ck.
Defund United Way!
Donate to the charity of your choice, directly, and they will receive 100% of your donation instead of a fraction of it from United Way!
Directors should work for cornbread.
If not Corn Pop
Salvation Army was always my choice over for profit Goodwill. Bell ringers always got a buck, maybe 50 total by Dec 25th.
That changed Christmas time 2021, when they went “woke”, calling for “white apologies”.
I printed up some cards, “redeemable for one White apology”, that’s what I put in their red buckets.
Wonderful idea. And whenever it comes to cash collections, whether it’s churches’passing the basket, store counter top canisters, or Salvation Army, there are so many hands in the cookie jar, ya know some of it, some of the time, is being pilfered.
Superb strategy, TRAP.
Great idea
I like that. I remember one freezing cold day at Walmart an old man was out there trying to collect money for the Salavation Army. He was freezing his ass off so I told him go inside and warm up. He said he was not allowed to. His boss told him he had to stay outsdide and collect no matter how cold he was. He seemed genuinely afraid to go in to get warm. I considered that elderly abuse and they will never get another dime from me.
One of the reasons I donated to SA was because of the kind good hearted bellringers, doing a truly good and unselfish thing.
It’s too bad the SA is now run by “woke jokes” and have abandoned their Christian Roots.

Hmmm … curious timing. Perhaps the grapevine told her THE PLANET’s article was in the works. Through our Z-agents, we did a little investigating in UW.
Yeah because the article in question is nearly two years old.
I’m sure she’s shaking in her boots. That article is from July 2021. Your Z agents are two years too late tiny dancer.

Candace Winkler stepping down as leader of Berkshire United Way
By Tony Dobrowolski, The Berkshire Eagle Jul 12, 2021
Kenny Claremont is this you?
Could be Kavey too. He is obsessed by my every comment. I cannot even suggest reducing the Council Meals/Entertainment line in the budget without a vitriolic response.
Hello, World! Where everyone has a seat in the seat. That there is confusion is no surprise when you have a machine enjoying the luxury of owning the council.
One has to feel bad for Mr. Kavey with that strange growth on his noggin.
He isn’t obsessed with you. He just doesn’t like gay bashers, of which you are one. You deserve what he and Dina send your way.
Go suck an egg.
There is no Meal/entertainment in the Council Budget. There is funds for a state wide training. That is what you wanted to cut!
How much does the State charge a councilor for a convention pass?
What is the fee schedule for councilors to take courses on the mass.gov website?
Councilor Marchetti informed the council in a meeting that we were eligible to draw from the meals/ent. fund to cover our expenses attending a workshop in Boston. What was the cost of the admittance ticket?
Precognition, baby! Didja ever think we said that as a test, just to bait you? Well, yes got baited!! And tell us, why does the Divided Way still like The Fonz as president and CEO? Hmmm?
The article is almost two years old. The former mayor of N.A. is the director now.
We addressed this yesterday, MR. W. We thank you, though, for your vigilance.

Trump and Rudi are going down the tubes.Republican party is dead. The number 1 issue is trans people and nobody cares that you will be encountering a trans in your bathroom.I know that this is a big fear here on the planet. You think we are raining trans. You guys OK?
TSC
Perhaps you’re correct in this assessment. At the same time, perhaps you are not correct. Only you can know: Are you whistling through the graveyard to give yourself a little comfort? We only ask given Biden’s plummeting and Trump’s ascendancy.
Trump lost by 8.5 million before his Coup and his sexual assault charge. He will be indicted again in August.Dont assume that poll mean a thing when Trump is involved beyond the white supremecy
The problem is children are poisoned with hormones and mutilated with woke surgery you moron.
It is awful. My cousins friends daughters daughter in Indiana just had a baby girl about two months ago. Everything was wonderful except that she was told the hospital wanted to keep the baby for an extra day to monitor her respiratory function.
So when she went to pick up her baby two days later the smiling doctor handed her her baby but it had a huge penis instead of a tiny vagina. Apparently she was given a DNA test and was determined to be mostly male oriented so they just fixed the situation and gave her a discount on the procedure.
The problem is that when they previously had a big baby shower they were given all girls clothes and now they cannot return half the stuff. Needless to say they were bummed out at the hassle it had created having to get put on hold trying to get refunds for everything. Sometimes it is not even worth having a baby anymore.
Something sounds off about this story. I find it hard to believe that a hospital would risk a lawsuit by performing surgery without discussing with the parents first. It also seems unlikely that a hospital would discharge a newborn two days after a major surgery like that or that the parents weren’t at the hospital while this is going on.
What is fishy about it is that it is total bullshit and I thought that was obvious. My apologies that that went past you sir.
By the way, one more annoying thing was that because of the big penis they had to buy extra large diapers which was another expense they had not budgeted for.
I debated before responding to the post because it was just so implausible. And I’m not a sir. Quite comfortable in my assigned at birth gender,
It’s good to know that you believe in mutilating children!
I don’t think that he supports mutilating children. I see a centered person there.
I also do not think he knows what is going on at PHS where teachers are assigning false genders to 6 year olds. I saw this with my own eyes giving Xmas gifts to the children at Morningside. The teachers had this list of little boys and girls whom they gave opposing genders. My question: is this evidence of sexual abuse (children inappropriately thinking about their gender) that PHS is concealing? Is it done without parents’ consent?
Doing so called gender surgery on children is mutilation and I think criminal.
You mean PPS not PHS, I think. Maybe you believe 6 year old are in high school, I don’t know for sure. You certainly watch FOX news, that is for sure.
Correct – elementary school. Thank you.
But watch out, PHS students! Biology 101 is going to become a really difficult subject and much harder than organic bio which mercifully doesn’t pay much attention to gross biological distinctions.
This abuse has been turned over to the DA for investigation?
Teachers are ‘mandatory reporters.’ That means, if they observe behavior that suggests sexual abuse (age-inappropriate knowledge or concerns), they are required to report it. Not likey reporters to the DA necessarily. Maybe first to the parents.
I think most people fear seeing a crazy person like you in a restroom or anywhere else there fruitcake.
“It” shops at Target. The “33” genders are welcome to use any toilet there.
How may boards is Christina Wynn on? Seriously, her name comes up everywhere these days.
Maybe she should work at a lumber yard.
That night in Bangkok
Gosh, us white people are so triggered huh?
Grateful for this coverage and linking directly to their DEI page, you made it easier to donate. When’s the next DEI spotlight?
Glad to be of such great service, TB. We eliminated the middle man and just burned a pile of cash for smores. Much better use than doughnating to Divided Way.
Glad you enjoy donating to a group that extorts, kills and parties with the Kapanski’s donations!
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently signed state legislation that prohibits colleges from spending public funds on “DIE” programs.
DeSantis signs bill banning funding for diversity programs at Florida public colleges (yahoo.com)
The NAACP issued a Florida Travel Advisory to rebuke DeSantis.
Why the NAACP issued a Florida travel advisory in rebuke to DeSantis: ‘This is how he looks at us’ (yahoo.com)
We are in a political cultural war that will play out during the 2024 presidential campaigns. The leftist agenda of “DIE” versus the rightist agenda of “a conservative transformation of the government”.
I always HATED cultural wars all of my life. I always saw cultural wars as a way to keep us divided and conquered by the elites who control us through financial, corporate and government fascism. I see cultural wars as pointless and endless nonsense.
Name a few elites? Are these Elites deliberately causing this friction?
It is a world wide attempt to move all countries towards fascist rule and away from people.Cut SS Medicare Food Assistance Publi Education Unions and minimal wage, women Rights and minority rights and return to the White wealthy man’s slave wages….and all FOX watchers do not have any idea WTF is going on.The fear party owns your brain and your healthcare
To Charles concerning his petitions and elected officials. How about if the Council in specific wins an election but not by a plurality of the vote. In others words, if no people vote then those councilors elected when assembled make it a super majority vote on every voting issue.
This will help with the puppet type voting currently and for years dominating votes for the administration and gives a little bit of power back to the people.
If a certain amount of the registers voters say sixty percent vote then super majority doesn’t need to be enforced. Anything less super majority should be in acted. Charles?
The problem with Chronic’s petitions on the budget is this; by the time they work thru the process, even if approved (and they will fail), it would be past the deadline for the budget to be passed.
If SIR CHAZ were so smart, he would have submitted them months ago. He is doing nothing other than grandstanding.
He isn’t stupid, but isn’t smart either. I see the spectrum in him. He is on it somewhere, I’m not not sure where. Have you been diagnoised, SIR CHAZ?
First: Talk about fixing the CoLA’s. In fact, it could be done this month and budgets could reflect new code next month. Not necessary however, and not practical.
Second, reduce this budget to 2022. The Mayor approved the CoLA’s – the burden is hers on how to pay for them.
Third: now is the logical time to argue for Code reform since we see the impact of the raises.
You follow the Council Manual for arguments. Start with an insult, then follow with straw man arguments.
SIR CHAZ
Yes. What passes for “debate, discussion, and deliberation” on the dais of the counterfeits of that trio. They needed Prof. Valenti’s seminars on logic, argumentation, and persuasion back in our college days. For a handsome fee, we would conduct one for the council. Many corporate marketing-communication types have paid us well for teaching their people just that.
Excellent proposal, Dan. Get me a proposal and I’ll float it.
The Council has a $4,000 budget for professional training. We should use it (for professional training.)
I’d want the full $4,000, CHAZ. I’m sure that would win unanimous consent, a 11-0 vote.
Better move fast then. Or Council will have to rewrite its budget and get more cash.
2ND Amendment FOX watchers want drones that shoot bullets and not National Healthcare. They want Christians to govern
Does anyone relate to how elderly people on SS will pay their house tax or their rental increase.Consolidation of schools
We agree on this, TSC. Both points.
I hope he doesn’t have Berry, berry or Kenny, Kenny
SA: You are free to suggest changes to the City Charter too. Go for it.
That’s the point, you’re the c c not me. I will though. Why be a c c if you are voted down on everything 6-5. What does it tell you. It tells me without a plurality your elected for life just go along with the mayor. One other item is The forgiveness of millions of dollars with the t I f s. Giving a non – plurality that much power?
Citizens may submit petitions. They can also work with a councilor for councilor sponsorship.
Yes. Good point to make. ANY citizens can petition the council in the two ways you say. It’s yet another way to drive greater citizen ownership of THEIR government — ironically, the last thing some in government want, who see activism as annoying budinsky-ism.
Fake information
Milltown is already invested and construction has begun, they are not going to stop now. The answer from this citizen is “no”. No No No No No. stop giving rich people and entities all the breaks, especially when they are going to invest anyway. this is gravy for them but could be the difference for a family whose child might need another para in class, o r one of a thousand different ways that this money grab could be used to help the people who actually pay their own way in this community. sorry I am super happy with all Milltown has done and will continue to support their Bosquet investment but please councilors, stand up and say no. Their latest investment will only benefit a very very small amount of people and they will not be you and I. If they don’t get the TIFF do you think they will stop their plan mid stream? please tell me they have not already been promised this. This money should only be granted if it is going to benefit the community as a whole and if it is actually needed to make the project happen. This amount isn’t going to make or break the deal. no way
Excellent Pat. Couldn’t express it any better,, These current puppet phonies need to exit and it seems there could be a switch this November .Isn’t it obvious to everyone that six to five votes happen on a regularity. That’s the Cabal Dans talking about. Dump these a-holes.
SUM
Anyone who denies the existence of a Pittsfield cabal (by definition a relatively tiny number of “connected” people [connected to power and money] who wield enormous and disproportionate control over public institutions) can be considered with considerable justification a fool. You are anything but. You “get it.”
Thank you Dan. If you were Danull Boone I would have been your Mingo. But seriously it’s quite obvious. I would say at least these six have voted for every Tired initiative. Criminal.
Love the analogy. Dan’l Boone and Mingo. Zorro and Bernardo. Crockett and Gerogie Russell. Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels.
Cheexh and
Chong…
And I am going to go out on a limb and suggest this might not be their ONLY TIFF. How many is hard to gauge with the different business configurations. But Pete Marchetti would know if someone wants to ask him. Just kidding. Puppets can only talk when someone else makes their mouth move.
But supposedly these TIFFs
This site is critically in need of investment in bandwidth.

We have so invested. It’s a sign of how much we’re are growing. We will be catching up and surpassing both the Eagle and iBerks before too long. We are continuously monitoring our backstage capacity to handle growth and security. Thanks.
City Council tonight they’re against counselor Chronixx one-year term limit or one term limit whatever the hell it is saying it’s not democratic horse shit then let’s go with my suggestion a plurality in a Super Bowl for anything going forward for 6-5 has got to stop.
By the end of this year, I’m both going to have trouble spelling my name AND pronouncing it.

That’s not even in the same planet (pun intended), the same solar system, the same universe, the same galaxy.
You are so far off the mark in comparison you’re a speck of dust a trillion miles away.
You don’t even make the news media ranking, you are considered a blog, gossip, and sports. Not even considered real news.

I stopped donating to United Way here a few years ago. I was a “leadership” donor. Now I donate directly to organizations that have no DIE tendencies. The focus on DIE is nationwide and the organizations who support it need to die, including United Way.
Well said, CT!
