The coven included the swearing in of incoming officeholders, both newbies and the experienced swindlers otherwise known as incumbents. THE PLANET had our spies in attendance.
The new oaf of office read as follows:
I, _______________ , do solely swear and affirm that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the People’s Republic of Massachusetts and the paregorics of the city of Bitchfield, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to my Political Masters and The Special Interests, and that I will continue to keep the freebies flowing for the DEI crowd, so help me Maura Healey.
I do solemnly swear and affirms to oppose any measures that will make life easier for my constituents, will do all in my power to raise taxes, diminish services, and in all matters support The Suits over Mary Jane and Joe Kapanski, so help me “Tell ’em Angelo Sent Cha.”

Taking the oaf two years ago marked the only time since then that Peter Marchetti took his hands out of taxpayers’ pockets. As for Voltron the Porkchop (council prez Pete White), when he raised his right hand Monday, it will be the only time in the next two years he takes his hands out of HIS pockets. He’s still the reigning Park Square Pock Pool Champ.
In taking this oaf and with the assumption or resumption of political office, Lumpy and THE PLANET s Right Honorable Good Friends on council planted the seeds of municipal corruption that shall only need the sunshine of opportunity to sprout and the flower into full growth. A $230 million budget, countless millions in debt, state and federal grants by the multimillions — all with little to no accountability.
What could possibly go wrong?
Other than naming Dumpster Earl Persip as council prez with Voltron as his vice. As in vice.

Bitchfield government under The Two Petes and now a D resembles a rotting corpse in desperate need of an undertaker then burial.
Adding to the stench already in permanent residence in Hypocrisy Hall, Bitchfield citizens shall have added attractions in 2026. One of the most entertaining shall be the trial by jury in federal court of Lumpy, who stands accused of being a woman-hating, conflicted man by former Pittsfield Co-Op executive Victoria May. You’ll recall that two years ago, Mayor Lumpy’s most important message to citizens was that he is “openly gay.”
Who knew?
What an achievement!
Will the litigants reach an out-of-court settlement, including a NDA worth much gold for Ms. May? She says she’s not interested in money, only justice. Question is, how much will it be worth to Lumpy to keep the not-so-fuzzy details of his bad behavior out of the public’s view?

Speaking of The Lump, he named himself president of the sochol committee. This much accumulation of power hasn’t been seen in Bitchfield since Mayor P.J. Moore made Peter Arlos his shoeshine boy.
How much will Lumpy continue the scandal-ridden activities of the SC? We’ll get our first chance when we see how the members vote to Ciara Batory’s petition to release the (recused) “independent” $ix-figure report by a connected e-judge essentially tell citizens, “Nothing to see there, folks. You can all move along.
THE PLANET hopes that Batory has three others on the panel who will back the release of the whitewash document.
As you can tell, we THE PLANET remains the biggest optimist going.

Hello blogger Dan Valenti,
Mayor Peter Marchetti’s speech was a mixed message when it came to housing and economic development.
His punitive proposal(s) – the “War against the underclass” – still live on in 2026, but he said that he also wants to implement Northampton’s progressive programs to assist the homeless. Talk about the North Pole extreme of penalizing the poor, and the South Pole extreme of providing public assistance to the poor.
On economic development, he touted some successes with local small businesses, but North Street’s downtown so-called business district always has around 15 empty storefronts, and is otherwise called “Social Services Alley” that most people avoid.
The only economic growth in Pittsfield over the past couple of generations has been in the small city’s excessively large underclass population. Pittsfield’s public schools are always rated Level 5 (failed), Group 11 (underclass), with between 650 to 700 students per academic year who choice out to neighboring public school districts.
None of the 3 men who I do NOT admire the most: Peter Marchetti, Earl Persip, and Pete White – said NOT one word about lowering municipal and public school district spending in fiscal year 2027 (July 01, 2026 – June 30, 2027). They also REFUSE to speak with blogger Dan Valenti about Pittsfield politics.
Ciara Batory’s petition that she will present at the January 14th, 2026, Pittsfield School Committee meeting to release the 6-figure legal report paid for by the taxpayers is to allow parents of the students to know what happened with Pittsfield’s school scandals.
As I have long written and posted, Pittsfield’s excessive spending is not about the diminishing municipal services, nor is about the ROCK BOTTOM Level 5 rating of the public schools, but rather, it is about the city playing financial shell games with the state bureaucrats in Boston for Pittsfield to receive as much state administered, federal aid funding as possible, which has been recently cut by the Swamp, in order to enrich the millionaires who back the Mayor, some of the City Councilors, State Representative Tricia Country Buffet, and so on.
To illustrate the corruption, I like to showcase greedy lobbyist Dan Bosley, who has been a big booster of the state lottery SCAM and other forms of (voluntary) regressive taxation schemes over the past 4 decades. When the lottery produces over $1 billion in net profit per fiscal year, greedy lobbyist Dan Bosley is able to obtain lucrative tax breaks for Boston area big businesses that don’t exist in Western Massachusetts. It is all a game whereby the likes of greedy lobbyist Dan Bosley cashes in, while the taxpayers get screwed over.
I understand that government financial management shell games goes over most people’s heads, but I have studied it for decades of my adult life, as I have a MPA from UMass Amherst, 1999, which has done me no good as I am a disabled Veteran.

After the OAF at Bitchfield’s Hypocrisy Hall, the Bitchfield Sentinel was able to catch up with the MA’s illegal alien’s representative, Tricia Farley-Country Buffet (d-illegal aliens), to try and get her thoughts on:
(1) why the audit of MA state government that MA voters voted overwhelming voted for hasn’t happened yet?
(2) Did MA follow the lead of CA and NY, and illegally give commercial driver’s licenses (CDL’s-big rigs) to non-English speaking illegal aliens?
(3) You’ve done a lot for your unelected constituents, illegal aliens. Do you have any plans to actually help your actual voting constituency? Bring in jobs? Business? Anything besides TDS?
(4) You are now a single lady, any illegal alien man (or woman) you are sweet on? Have you welcomed any illegal aliens into your home, like failed Gov Maura Healey asked us common folk to do? You know, lead by example.
Of course, we got no answers from TFCB about any of the above.
Instead, she took a page out of the book from her biggest supporter here on The Planet, Meanwhile, and launched into an anti-American, TDS rant.

Dumpster as council president didn’t “just happen.” At least that’s what my “street sources” are claiming. If Marchetti leaves office, whether it’s connected to his upcoming federal trial or for any other reason, council president is next in line. Even The Suits know what they couldn’t put up with Voltron as mayor. Plus, Earl checks the right boxes.

We have great hope for Ciara Batory, she should ask just how much the investigation cost and what we got for it. If she asks for a roll call vote it would be interesting to put the members on record for voting against it.

I think there is a slower approach. She should have access to reports and data being a SC member. The SC does not communicate with the public or even the Council.

I agree with you Sir Chaz. I like that Ciara has the fire in her to want to get the report released to the public, but she should slow her pace down a bit.
She should take time to read the unredacted report and digest it and then share with all.
If they thwart her efforts to release the report, maybe when she reads it, she’ll take pictures of it with her phone and release it that way to the public.
