(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, WEDNESDAY MAY 6, 2026) — Walk into most any store today and you’ll see for sale bric-a-brac, tchotchkes, sundry items, and other dust collectors related to America’s upcoming 250th anniversary — hats, key rings, paper plates, Frisbees, lip balm, even condoms … you name it, and some company will have manufactured the junk.
It is in a perverse way a fitting tribute the America of 2026, where lucre names the game, the lifestyle, and the ambition. That an a society-wide dumb down evident at home, locally, and statewide, where rigged elections have become de rigueur.
THE PLANET welcomes the upcoming jubilee more as a commemoration than an excuse to party. America means too much to us to get all stoopit about the founding of this country. We still, and often, recall the incredible courage shown by the Founders, men and women, who risked all to break free of monarchal rule. Farms, families, fortunes and more, pledged on a long shot. Each year, as a self-imposed exercise in civics, we re-read the Declaration of Independence, the Preamble, the Bill of Rights, and the Gettysburg Address.
“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

THE PLANET shall ignore at this time the appalling ignorance of the mechanics of citizenship and civics while we reflect upon “origins.”
Actually, while King George III (G3) — contrary to the misguided beliefs of the out-of touch Radical Left, America’s last king — gets cast as the heavy in the story of the American Revolution, it was Parliament who should be wearing the black hats. As a constitutional monarch, G3 had little power, same as today with King Charles III. The Lords and Commons alienated the Colonies, all because of war.
In the Seven Years’ War, one of the endless line of irrational European skirmishes begun for no reason, England defeated France. The “Forgotten World War,” which ended in 1763, left England with a massive debt. This caused Parliament to raise taxes on the Colonies (sound familiar?) to help pay down the obligations, including the infamous Stamp Act and tax on tea.
The Continental Congress appealed to the king, but G3 didn’t have the power to dissuade his legislators. We know the rest.
And here we are. Home of the Fee and Land of the Rave.

America might have had a chance to pull off its radical experiment in self-government, but the forces against it were too great. In 1945, the United States won the war but lost the peace. For the first time in its history, it didn’t revert back to a peace time economy. Roosevelt and Truman got skunked by Uncle Joe Stalin and fell for his bluff. Enter the Cold War, which lasted until the fall of the Soviet Union in 1990. We failed to heed Eisenhower’s warning about the military-industrial conflict and assassinated a man who would have gone on to become the greatest president of the 20th century. Cue the “war on terrorism,” which brings us to today.
Perpetual war, with us to stay.

In 1775, the Colonists in British America paid 2 weeks of their annual income in taxes.
In 2026, the U.S. Citizens and Businesses pay many months of their annual income and earnings in taxes.
In 1775, Massachusetts was bankrupt. They asked the King of England for a bailout, but instead, the King told Massachusetts to raise taxes. Massachusetts replied No Taxation without Representation. It, the greatest country ever: The United States of America, all started in Massachusetts, which has the oldest living constitution in the World.
In 2026, if “Jon Melle the have-NOT” was in debt and bankrupt like Massachusetts was way back in 1775, and then I asked the King of England for a bailout, but instead, he told me to work 3 jobs to dig myself out of my debts, but then I told the sad truth to the British King that nobody really represents me in the government, while I also owned Slaves like a majority of the Founding Fathers did 250 years ago, would I be just like the rebellious British Colonies in America were way back in 1775?
Does anyone else find it strange that the Founding Fathers espoused Classical Liberalism while a majority of them owned Slaves?
The Founding Fathers knew full well that Slavery was a great injustice. It is historical record. Moreover, it is hypocritical to point out that the British’s economic policies to keep the Colonies with weak economies to be dependent on the United Kingdom’s rule were unjust when a majority of the Founding Fathers themselves owned Slaves.
Then there is The Bible, like other religions and their respective writings, whereby the Prophets said that they talked to God Himself. If “Jon Melle the said-to-be Prophet” said in 2026 that I talked to God Himself like the Prophets said they did thousands of years ago, would I be taken seriously?
Please note, I have been called a Paranoid Schizophrenic with disturbed emotions in my life, so I believe that I would be told the same if I said that I was a Prophet who talked to God Himself like the Prophets in The Bible and other religious writings. I have also been told that I have experience many unusual events in my life that I have written about on my blog(s), as well as email letters. I hope it is not both Schizo and Unusual Events, of course.
The Founding Fathers said that God made us Equal [because somehow they knew it to be true], therefore we have the natural and human rights to be Free. They signed onto the writings that stated that All men are created Equal by our Creator therefore we have the rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
BUT, once again, why didn’t they include the people who they ENSLAVED having the same rights they fought for and won for themselves in the 18th Century going into the 19th Century?
I agree with blogger Dan Valenti on one thing here, which is that War should NOT be glorified, and its constant occurrences over the past 80-plus years since the end of WW2 has led to the erosion of our nation’s Liberty.
Since the end of WW2 in 1945 – 2026, many millions of people around the cruel world have been killed in Wars, including ones led by the U.S. Government, but so long as Wall Street has made trillions of dollars in BLOOD MONEY off of the military industrial complex, then the Peace on Earth that we all hope for is as hopeless as the hypocritical foundations of our beloved God and Country really are in historical truth, (in)justice(s), and liberty “for all”.
I, myself, am all for lofty ideals. But I also know that history should be seen through many perspectives. If I want friends, I stay away from talking with family and friends about Religion and Politics because nobody wants to hear that things are not always black and white. Rather, we all want to believe that we are special, and the World is lofty instead of cruel.
I was born in mid-1975. I will probably, and I hope to, live until 2060 give or take a few years. I hope that I will live a lofty life whereby when I leave the World someday, I will leave the World a better place than it was when my life began close to 51 years ago now. I like to be lofty, too.

The American colonies were bankrupted by the colonial economy which was wholly exploitive, extracted not mere taxes but all means of profit and it was based on slavery, JM.
What was going on between the American colonies an GB was going on between GB the Irish plantations and India. GB further fought down numerous rebellious there too as well as on their own Island.
The Americans, under the leadership of various religious groups and philosophers such as Madison proved to be a unique Revolution that proved to history that there is just one model of governance that is Just and can endure all tests of time. What no government can survive, further argued at the drafts, was the evil inherent in Man which manifests bt the aggregation of power. That evil must be fought each generation.
So slavery was an evil that came not with the Philosophical Revolution but the men and economy of yhe land and the world economy. It could not long survive the Drclaration of Independence.
Liberty uniquely predicated upon G-d, human fallibility, and the unassailable right to the pursuit of happiness formed the unique government and vision that led to a brutal, total war to end slavery forever as opposed to the European practice of pushing slave activity to the forests of the Congo, the Carribean, comfortable distances.
Note also unique outcome of our Revolution was the rapid prosperity experienced upon gaining independence (proving my primary remark above) and the sustained prosperity such that we required zero bailouts or military rescue from any nation since our founding.
It came to King Charles to present himself to the Congress, a body full of the worst specimens of degraded Americans. to remind the Nation that we earned better. I believe his speech went way above the heads of at least half his immediate audience, but they were polite for a change.

What happened during the incident? There’s vague references to it, but do you know — or does anyone know — precisely what happened in this “incident?”
I do not know precisely what happened. I read what is in The Boring Broadsheet and IBerkshire site. The complainant’s daughter is offended because the teacher repeated what was said when she reported it. Nothing to see here. Now the complainant is complaining there are not enough minority teachers, despite all the government money spent trying to recruit them.

True. Young people frequently reference each other with “nigga.” It might be the third-most employed word in a middle-schooler’s vocabulary behind “like” and “fuck.”
At this point, the public is learning more from terrified students coming home after school than they are from the actual people running these buildings.
And honestly? That should concern everyone.
And before someone clutches their pearls, let me be clear about something. I’m not shocked that kids say offensive things anymore. Not just teenagers either. Kids. Pre teens. Teens. Young adults. They push boundaries. They repeat garbage they hear online, at home, from gaming chats, TikTok, social media, friends, everywhere. Racial slurs, homophobic language, cruel jokes, ugly comments. Sadly, none of that even feels rare anymore.
Teachers and school staff hear chaos constantly. After years in that environment, I can absolutely understand how hearing ugly language eventually becomes background noise. Human beings adapt to environments whether we want them to or not.
But that’s not the part setting off alarm bells for me anymore.
It’s the growing culture of silence around escalating violence, intimidation, bullying, and institutional damage control.
Parents are describing fights at Reid that sound less like “school incidents” and more like public beatdowns with spectators. Students are coming home talking about crowds of 50 plus kids gathering while students are reportedly beaten unconscious before adults intervene. Blood splattering onto nearby students. Chaos continuing long enough for audiences to form.
Read that again slowly.
How does that happen inside a school building?
Where are the adults before it reaches that point?
Because this is no longer sounding like isolated hallway scuffles. Parents are describing environments that feel completely out of control while administration keeps responding with polished statements about “privacy” and “ongoing internal processes.”
And that disconnect is exactly why trust is collapsing.
People are starting to feel like the priority is protecting the institution instead of protecting the children inside it.
That’s the issue.
Not optics.
Not PR.
Not carefully crafted emails.
Safety.
And yes, I’ll say this too. I genuinely hoped “Queen Latifah” would be different. I thought maybe we’d finally see someone willing to stand up when women are being bulldozed, manipulated, dismissed, or publicly undermined. Instead it feels like more image management and silence while the same dysfunction continues around her.
Leadership is not smiling through chaos while pretending everything is under control.
People are watching.
Parents are talking.
Students are talking.
Teachers are talking.
And the harder leadership works to quietly contain these situations instead of openly confronting them, the faster public trust disappears.

Do you remember during George Floyd and the Summer of Love 2020, when Bitchfield liberal wingnuts, like Helen “Handgun” Moon, bought into the theory that school resource officers in schools were bad, because it “made children of color not want to go to school?” Shortly after, they were all removed from the schools on a fulltime basis.
You don’t remember hearing about the schools being out of control when the SRO’s were in all the schools.
It brings me to my next point. In your first post VV, you type “cracker,” and reference it to a white person with such ease. No shame that it might have offended a white person, because in a democRATS mind, white people are exempt from racial discrimination. Your post proves it.
Now, flip the script, if I wrote the word ni**er, VV and every liberal on here would beg and plead with Dan to release my name, to try and destroy my character.

Did the teacher mess up by repeating what the student said in the presence of other students? Yes, she did.

The student needs to be held FULLY ACCOUNTABLE. No more passes because he/she is a POC.
