As THE PLANET looks to Boston, we see the skullduggery of state government at full throttle.
Remember back in 2024. Voters approved, 72% of us, a binding ballot question that would allow an independent audit of the legislature. It still hasn’t happened. It’s been tied up in the courts, with our DEI attorney general Andrea Campbell carrying the water for her masters and seeing to the fix.
Let’s see. It was just last week that a jury convicted Campbell’s serial rapist brother, Alvin Jr., who preyed on drunken women by posing as an Uber driver. Her father, also Alvin, along with his brother Arnold, were criminals in the Roxbury district in the 1960s. This included the Campbells being implicated in a high-profile 1968 shooting that left three people dead and two injured at the offices of a community organization called N.E.G.R.O. This group, ostensibly focused on grassroots initiatives, was allegedly a cover for schemes involving government funds for phony job training programs. That’s the vine. Andrea is one of the fruits.

A ballot question to lower the state income tax made its way through all the hurdles, a miracle in itself. It looked like a certain bet for the 2026 November ballot. But this is Taxachusetts. Eight voters in the Commonwealth challenged Campbell’s summary of Initiative Petition 25-18, eight out of an electorate of 4,911,924–one six-millionth of one percent, all unidentified of course.
That was enough to send the matter to the State Supreme Judicial Court. The justices ruled Campbell’s summary too flawed to be allowed on the ballot! Campbell, either through gross incompetence or deliberate subterfuge, lied in her summary, justices found. She wrote that the would-be law would NOT lower the tax-rate on capital gains. In fact, the new law WOULD lower the levy on capital gains.

Gosh. Do you join THE PLANET in wondering if Campbell was a DEI candidate whose election was rigged in this one-party state? Rigged so she would be of use in giving ordinary citizens the shaft?
The law that would have lowered your taxes was hardly radical. It would have lowered the 5% income tax to 4% over three years, beginning in 2027 at 4.67, then 4.33 and 4 in the following two. Hardly a blip on the screen, but then again, in Massachusetts, “leaders” such as Gov. Healey and the rest of her feminized gang, will defeat every attempt to give regular people a break.
MassFiscal executive director Paul Craney spoke for the Kapanskis: “This is a disgraceful outcome for Massachusetts taxpayers and a direct result of the Attorney General to do her job properly. More than 100,000 residents signed petitions to put tax relief before the voters.”
Well more than 100,000 signed the petition to get this on the ballot. Eight got it changed, courtesy of AG Campbell.

I do NOT understand why he criticizes so many people, but when it comes to LUCIFORO, Dan Valenti all too often gives him a pass when he is one of the WORST people in “the Pitts”.
I have a question, please. Does anyone who uses their rational mind really believe that I wanted to be hurt by these Pittsfield political insiders for the past over 30 years of my close to 51-year-old adult life? Does anyone really think that I wanted to see then Pittsfield State Senator Nuciforo Jr. file multiple state “Ethics” complaints to multiple Massachusetts state agencies as an act of retribution against my dad, Bob (Berkshire County Commissioner, 1997 – mid-2000), from the Fall 1997 to the Spring 1998?
Around 6 years after Nuciforo tried to jail me in the Spring to Summer 1998, Berkshire County Sheriff Carmen Massimiano approached me to say to me that he knows that I know what they tried to do to me, and then he tried to intimidate me by saying that I should not feel safe and for me not to tell people about it. It was classic Good Old Boys Pittsfield politics.
I would love to explore some solutions.
I would love for LUCIFORO to admit that he conspiratorially persecuted me for the past 3 decades of my adult life.
I would love for LUCIFORO to publicly say that he is a DISGRACED politician who double-dipped with Boston’s BIG banks and INSURANCE companies from 1999 – 2006.
I would love for LUCIFORO to publicly say that he is a CORRUPT lawyer in Boston’s Financial District.
I would love for LUCIFORO say that he is a political insider in Boston and Pittsfield alike whereby he cashed in on Massachusetts lucrative marijuana business, while many other applicants for pot permits did not always succeed.
I thank the poster who said that I have a good narrative. But isn’t that the point here? LUCIFORO has been using a negative narrative against me – Jon Melle – for decades. But, I am the one who is criticized for writing, posting, and blogging about it. LUCIFORO gets to look like he is an accomplished professional, when the truth is that he is DISGRACED, CORRUPT, a political insider, a mean-spirited man, and a greedy millionaire who lives in a $1 million mansion in Pittsfield’s elitist Gated Community, along with his upscale residence in Boston.
LUCIFORO is always the first person to file state “Ethics” complaints against someone such as my father, Bob, make false and hypocritical allegations against someone such as myself to the police to try to jail me, sue the City of Pittsfield for hundreds of thousands of dollars over the pot permits Berkshire Roots paid the city years prior, and then walk away with a taxpayer-funded city check in the amount of $341,000, and so on.
If you, Dan Valenti, have allegiances to people who you know are no good, then that is your choice as a journalist and blogger. It is NOT my choice. Instead, my choice is to live my life as a GOOD man who is a survivor of vindictive and mean-spirited people such as LUCIFORO, who I have told that I will always speak my good conscience as long as I live.

Off topic. Saw Pittsfield’s Ward 2 City Councilor Cam Cunningham on Channel 13 news addressing the recent homicide by the Dairy Cone on Tyler Street. Was very impressed with his professional conversation with the reporter. This is what Mayor Lumpy should be doing!! The reporter stated he had contacted the City Administration but had not received a response. Big surprise!! Although, I am sure Cam is on Lumpy’s sh*t list today. Last Council meeting Cam had Persip so rattled he had to call a recess. Keep up the good work Cam!

As of late June 2026, Pittsfield, Massachusetts has recorded 14 shootings since February of this year. According to local police data and media reporting, the casualties from these incidents stand at 1 person killed and 1 person injured.
The US Government keeps a rolling debt clock. It might be time to start a rolling shooting clock for the City of Bitchfield.

It seems that our Police Department and Fire Department spends their days and nights dealing with unresponsive drug overdoses. It would be very interesting to be told how many calls these departments receive in a week/month/year. It is completely out of control in the City. There seems to be an overdose at the Common around the splash pad and basketball courts at least once a day. What a terrible environment for innocent little children. Have a friend whose young grandchildren witnessed the homicide while getting ice cream, they both are still petrified. Changes need to be made in this City, why doesn’t the Mayor ask the State Police to step in since for some reason the City can’t seem to hire and keep police officers causing a constant shortage. Or, find out why no one wants to work for the local police department.
