The city came into the news for the latest ICE-illegal encounters, reminding us how Biddeford became a running joke here locally in 2010 for a couple arrests there in summer 2004. Hint: “Tell ’em Angelo Sent you.” Hint 2: Underage boys.
That same type of personage continues to infect city politics to this day.
Should anyone wonder why the city has become a derelict’s spa?
All of which brings us to the latest caper, the call by city “leaders” for an “independent” audit.
Stop us if you’ve heard this howler before.

The Two Petes are in favor of an ‘independent audit.’
When THE PLANET began talking about a forensic audit of city books, Mayor Lumpy and Co. laughed it off. But then the readers of this board kept up the pressure. So did The Kapanskis. The grapevine woke up, the theme being “unhinged spending with no accountability equals corruption.”
The Suits called an emergency meeting, commanding attendance by the Two Petes, Dumpster Earl. and a couple others, one of them Ward 2’s Cam Cunningham. Seems Cam Bam has been showing signs of political independence, and when he took up the audit issue, he “needed to have his mind set right.”
The meeting didn’t take place in the back room at Del Gallo’s, which has been shuttered for years. How we miss those cement bags stacked near the back entrance! Nonetheless, the meeting took place. In secret. Illegally. Of course.
Lo and behold! Suddenly, post meeting, emerging from under the slime, the Auditing Services Evaluation Committee, instantly, like water added to Jell-O mix. And looking at the composition of ASEC, THE PLANET can confidently assert that it has about as much backbone as that finished bowl of Jell-O cooling in the fridge.

As you can see, The Suits stacked the deck with players who won’t dare make a peep. Yes, the same auditing firm that since the Pleistocene Age been granting papal blessings to Bitchfield crooked books.
The other company is CliftonLarsenAllen, one word, whose motto is the appropriate “We’ll Get You There.” THE PLANET is sure they will … but they won’t get the chance. The wise guys say the fix is in for Scanlon. Mullen-Haircut hasn’t revealed the prices submitted by the two firms. Again, transparency.

Because this is Bitchfield, even if the ASEC makes a decision on awarding the contract, the choice can be changed afterward.

Yes, Nazi Germany widely issued methamphetamine (Pervitin) to troops. It wasn’t some brilliant military innovation that won the war. It also left plenty of soldiers addicted, sleep-deprived, paranoid, and physically wrecked. Turns out turning people into chemistry experiments isn’t exactly a long-term strategy.
And no, questioning whether the military should routinely use performance-enhancing drugs isn’t “wanting our soldiers at a disadvantage.” That’s a false choice. Our military’s greatest advantage has always been training, technology, intelligence, logistics, and the people serving—not pretending every problem has a pharmaceutical solution.
But here’s the part I find fascinating…
You can’t spend years screaming that hormone therapy is “gender-affirming care” and therefore unacceptable… then turn around and cheer for the government giving healthy soldiers hormones or other drugs to enhance their bodies for performance.
If changing hormones for one reason is “unnatural,” then changing hormones for another reason doesn’t magically become a patriotic vitamin.
Pick a lane.
Either medical hormone treatments have legitimate uses decided by doctors and patients… or they don’t. You don’t get to oppose them in one context and celebrate them in another because the politics changed.

President Trump is accusing Canada of willful negligence in allowing their forests to burn out of control. I totally agree. Canada refuses to do forest management and is polluting our country. Canada is forcing its own citizens to breathe in dangerously unhealthy air and the people are so brainwashed that they don’t even complain about the direct threat to their health. They believe it’s climate change and nothing can be done about it. Our country is actually hotter than Canada and we have lots of forests, but you don’t see all our forests on fire. Where are the liberals worried about air quality who should be putting the pressure on Canada to take action? It seems like Canada is willfully trying to deteriorate our health to push their climate agenda. Toronto air quality has been at dangerous levels for nearly a week as these fires burn out of control.

To the editor: Bravo to Rep. Leigh Davis for shepherding her bill (H.1634) to prohibit sexual relations between people in positions of trust and those in their care. (“Our Opinion: We’re glad to see state’s consent statute updated — and we’re grateful for those who made it possible,” Eagle, July 15.)
The bill was introduced in response to the scandal at Miss Hall’s School, in which students’ putative “consent” to alleged sexual relations with their former teacher, Matthew Rutledge, would have derailed charges holding him accountable.
The bill passed on July 1 as an “outside section” attached to an appropriations bill, hardly a model of good democratic process, but at least it’s done and done unusually quickly compared to the vast majority of bills filed in the Statehouse. For this, Davis deserves a lot of credit for her advocacy. Rep. Tricia Farley-Bouvier was not present for the vote. Instead, she was at a campaign event for the governor at a brewery in Pittsfield, which is not her job and not what we pay her to do.
Miss Hall’s School is in Farley-Bouvier’s district. One would have thought she would have taken a leading role in pushing for this reform. But she did not even co-sponsor Davis’ bill. Oddly, she instead signed on to Sen. Joan Lovely’s companion bill in the Senate. One has to wonder what Farley-Bouvier was trying to prove by not supporting her freshman colleague in the Berkshire delegation.
Farley-Bouvier also dropped the ball this session, as she did in the last, on a very necessary reform to the peeping tom and upskirting statute, which once again languished in the Legislature and died in committee even though the problem of sexually prurient electronic surveillance of children and adults in bathrooms has been a recurrent problem in the Berkshires and elsewhere in the state. District Attorney Timothy Shugrue and I have been pushing the delegation to reform the existing statute, which is badly written and has a nonsensical sentencing structure. Even though Farley-Bouvier presented the bill in the last session, she did next to nothing to advance it. This session, a bill regarding the upskirting statute (H.1633) was filed by Rep. Davis. Farley-Bouvier did not even bother to co-sponsor it. Fair to ask: Why not?
Farley-Bouvier needs reminding what her job is and who she works for. It’s not her job to campaign and raise funds for her superiors. It’s not attending ribbon-cutting events. It’s doing the hard work of pushing important legislation past the finish line.

I wondered why he would want LUCIFORO’s endorsement due to Andrea Francesco Nuciforo Junior being a DISGRACED Politician, a CORRUPT Attorney, and a GREEDY Marijuana Millionaire.
Please NOTE: I noticed that Nuciforo’s town of residence was NOT written. As an a professional adult, Nuciforo has always lived full-time in Boston, and he lives part-time in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, which is where he was born and grew up in as a child and young man many years ago; Nuciforo is 62 in 2026.
Nuciforo is a disgraced politician because he allegedly illegally double-dipped as the Chairman of the Massachusetts State Senate Finance Committee while at the same time, Nuciforo served as a Corporate Attorney for Boston’s BIG banks and insurance companies from 1999 – 2006, according to a published news article in The Boston Globe newspaper in mid-January 2007. Nuciforo’s unethical double-dipping was like the Fox guarding the Hen House. Nuciforo still has a law office in Boston’s Financial District in 2026. The news media stated that while Nuciforo is a Democrat, he is a Fiscal Conservative.
Nuciforo is a corrupt Attorney due to his legal work with BIG insurance companies. While Nuciforo lives full-time in an upscale residence in Boston, in 2023, Nuciforo bought a $950,000 mansion in Pittsfield’s elitist Gated Community that is only 0.3-miles from former Pittsfield Mayor Linda Tyer and her CPA 3rd husband Barry Clairmont’s mansion that is west of Berkshire Community College close to the Hancock border. Nuciforo also owns multiple building properties in Boston and Pittsfield where his a landlord who collects many thousands of dollars per month in rental payments.
Nuciforo is a millionaire. He is NOT a common man like “Jon Melle the have-NOT”.
