PLANET VALENTI NEWS AND COMMENTARY

(FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, MONDAY MAY 9, 2022) — With the Tucker Case, the Estrella shooting, abortion, scooters, and the war in Ukraine, there has no shortage of topics on THE PLANET. For whatever reason, people are amped and angry.

From April 30 to May 7, THE PLANET picked up 554 new visitors. For years our growth has been slow and steady. Of late it’s been explosive and exponential.

Our readers turn to us for any number of reasons, which only they know for sure. We’d like to think it’s because we practice true, honest, and fearless investigative journalism in the style of H.L. Mencken, Ambrose Bierce, Westbrook Pegler, and others of that stripe. Muckrakers. Pot stirrers. Provocateurs.

THE PLANET pleads guilty on all counts

“They” hate us.

They love us.

As it should be.

———- ooo ———-

So among the plethora of topics, let us go to the one that involves the taking of human life that, in general and out of context, violates every moral directive and ethical impulse of well-adjusted human beings.

All things being equal, THE PLANET is 100% pro-life.

The glitch is that all things are not equal. The culture wars, both sides, pretend there’s an easy solution to the infinitely complicated question of unwanted pregnancy. Rad Right “pro life” ignores over-population, rape, incest, and poverty. Loon Left “abortion-on-demand” fanatics ignore the moral directive that has guided every decent society: Thou shalt not kill. And never should abortion be used as retro-active birth control by lazy men and women who expect social cleanups of their poor decisions.

ABORTION

We have two unprecedented actions. First, the White House supported and encourageed protests outside the homes of justices after the suspicious leak of Sam Alito’s opinion, backed by Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, and Brett Cavanaugh. Alito correctly stated the Constitution makes no provision for abortion. It’s is a state issue, not a federal one. As such, abortion isn’t anyone’s constitutional “right.”

“It is true to heed the Constitution and restrict the use of abortion to the people’s elected representatives,” Alito wrote.

THE PLANET  agrees.

That didn’t stop Loon Left women from desecrating Catholic Churches, interrupting Masses, and puking up other unlawful “protests” (the five assenting Supremes are Catholics).

At one Catholic church, they spray painted “Die Republican Fags,” and “666 Fags.’

This is how zealots “debate.”

The second unprecedented action is the leak of Alito’s document. Clearly, it was authorized to distract the electorate from the stunning incompetence of the Biden-Harris White House. The leak, a tactic both shameful and shameless, marks how desperate Democrats have become in trying to prevent impending electoral disaster in November.

———- ooo ———-

THE PLANET sees in abortion’s underlying cause the cultural upheavals that have enfeebled America. Our experiment in democracy, only 246 years young, has proven humans as a collective can’t handle freedom. There is something that prevents us from governing ourselves and still preserve human liberty. Some form of authoritarianism — monarchy, theocracy, dictatorship, totalitarianism — is required. That is certainly history’s prescription.

Poet Willian Butler Yeats wrote in his masterwork “The Second Coming” that the “centre cannot hold.”

Here is the poem, which Yeats wrote in 1919:

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

The center did not hold because it could not hold.

Our noble experiment in democracy has failed. We are experiencing America’s death rattle. The “rough beast, its hour come round at last” has been born.

No. It was not aborted.

——————————————————————————————

To be ignorant of what occurred before you were born is to remain always a child” — Cicero.

“OPEN THE WINDOW, AUNT MILLIE.”

LOVE TO ALL.

The U.S. Government’s military industrial complex has killed millions upon millions of foreign people and Peoples since the end of WW2 in 1945, which is about 77 years. The U.S. Government’s number one non-farm export to the world are military arms. The U.S. Government is the number one arms dealer in the world. The U.S. Government’s lust for war, money and power has led to more deaths and humanitarian crises than abortions. What a double standard for the Swamp to be self-righteous about abortion but spend trillions upon trillions of dollars on war to make trillions upon trillions of dollars in profit for Wall Street’s Financial Elites (billionaires), the corporate elites (defense/war contractors and arms dealers), and the Ruling Elites (Speaker Nancy Pelosi is said to be a billionaire from her Pentagon stock portfolio). Human life obviously does NOT matter to the Swamp, but rather, the Almighty Dollar to buy decades of Political Power is what really matters to the corrupt career politicians there. The 5 Catholic Supreme Court Judges who wrote that American Women don’t have a federal constitutional right to limited abortion rights and privacy rights are rewriting over 50 years of law and legal precedent. The Catholic Church is a pro-life religious institution, but most American Citizens are NOT practicing Catholics, nor do they believe in the Church’s doctrine of moral hypocrisy from Vatican City to the Swamp and beyond. Lastly, if men don’t want women to get abortions, then men should keep their genitals in their pants instead of having sex with women. What does a man think is going to happen after he has sexual intercourse with a woman? This is all unreal.

It is telling that the far left goes to such lengths, usually saved for the losing side in a logical argument. This shows that 1/6 most likely was created by the far left. So far the defendants and French television have captured on tape 80 questionable characters that seemed to be talking to the p9lice, even though they were supposedly the “insurrectionist” and gaining access through the side door, even pushing people through who were caught on tape yelling no this is illegal let us out. Now try to take yourself out of your political leanings and look to see as unbiased as you can which political party is associated with this type of planning and behavior? Then ask why didn’t the Speaker of the House call in the National Guard as asked by the President? I agree with JM the swamp needs to go for our democracy to regain its course. To do this we have to shrink the government! Make people be personally responsible for their own lives and not depend on the government. As JFK stated, ask not what the country can do for you but what you can do for the country!

How odd that just when minorities are 17 years from majority rule the planet announces democracy failed. It was attacked on 1 6 2022 and many laws are being put in place in souther and Midwestern states to control the votes of the individual voter and we shall see if Trump /Putin win.I for one can also see the death of Authoritarian rule and the beginning of a new age of truth and education and knowledge where Fox new will be a funny line about innocence of ignorance.

Not sure where you get your number of 17 years before minorities rule. It must be from Obama and his calculations when he said “The racial make-up of this country is changing” as he is plotting behind the scenes to pour all of these illegals into the country. Unlike the far left, who obviously hate white people, the majority of people in this country respect all races so Obama’s plan to make white people the minority party as part of his globalist scheme to take control of this country for his globalist friends, will be a big failure. All of the races in this country will not accept the globalist vision that Obama has for this country and will work together against it.

It shouldn’t be that difficult to find out who this Supreme Court leaker is and to expose their political motivations. It’s interesting too to see the control that Biden has over the protesters by telling them it’s okay to protest inside of churches and outside of the houses of the justices, but keep it peaceful. Joe and the far left could easily crank it up to violence being acceptable and the protesters would listen and do as they were told. This is the same control they had over the so-called protesters in the summer of 2020 when the violence was encouraged by the far left. Lizzie Warren’s over the top shaking fit the other day was praised by the media and shows how they will use the abortion issue to distract from Biden’s incompetence and the dangerous agenda of the far left.

The far left agenda puts them on a collision course with religion especially Catholicism. It also explains the strange bedfellows who support the far left agenda like the terrorists in Afghanistan. They have in common that they both hate Catholics.

It is too convenient that this leak happens now since the midterms are coming up and the far left is worried. This leaker must be caught and prosecuted.

I’m talking about people who attend the Catholic church. These are the ones being attacked. Most people disagreed with sexual abuse in the church, but that didn’t mean that Catholicism itself should be under attack. God and the only too human people who make up the church are very separate. Even God realized that the church itself could become corrupt, but it’s the Catholic religion that is being attacked by these pro-abortion protesters.

The lefties will find the leaker a well paying do nothing job as a reward. Current thoughts are “it’s” (being gender correct) a lefty underling working for the SCOTUS.

The partisan Biden/DOJ/FBI won’t even do their jobs and go after the rabid feral beasts trying to intimidate the SCOTUS justices. That’s a federal crime, just like the hordes of criminals pouring over the southern border.

They also supported the chaos the whole summer of 2020, remember the MSM’s “peaceful protests” where they they went “shopping” through broken doors and windows, and practiced making “campfires” in buildings…..Kamala even bailed out the thugs. “Woke” Soros funded DAs then turned the felons loose to wreak more carnage. Remember this when you vote next November.

Expect all sort of things this fall to support the need for mail-in ballots (have you seen 2000 Mules?) and distractions from the Biden train wreck.

When you have a DA who doesn’t know how to go after a criminal like David Moody you have this. She could be in that job for another 12 years and never figure it out. She has never had any good mentoring and will never get it because she doesn’t listen to anyone who could teach her. Unbelievable.

No, DA Wrong Way’s office pled him out to 3.5 years on another gun charge. He was supposed to get a minimum of 15 years for the gun, as a 3-striker.

Crazy to think a multiple, violent, armed felon got 1.5 more years in prison that a guy who burned a few bales of hay.

David Moody, armed career criminal: 3.5 years.
Lonnie Durfee, burned political bales of hay supporting Xiden/Harris: 2 years.

Hope that the Pittsfield Police and Fire Departments are keeping track of emergency calls and complaints due to Birdy Scooters? Are taxpayers paying for their assistance or is it billed back to Birdy? Our police department is already some 30+ officers down with more retiring every day, no wonder the crime is out of control in the City. Why are Tyer and Wynn not addressing this lack of police officers? The Birdy representative that picked up abandoned scooters in my neighborhood over the weekend stated that the whole program was rolled out incorrectly! Who’s fault is that? The Mayor and Morales or Birdy? Have also noticed that the lack of available ambulances is getting worse by the day. Surrounding towns are constantly being called to cover in Pittsfield. Have also wondered about the constant calls for standby by the Fire Department to Wahconah Park for Life Flights from our so called BMC “Trauma” Center that can’t seem to handle any trauma cases. Do the taxpayers also foot the bill for this or is it billed to the patient’s insurance or Berkshire Health Systems?

Re: PFD “Standing By” @ a Med Flight LZ.
This has been a thorn in my craw for a long time.
When the helos landed @ a MASH site in Korea, was there a fire engine standing by? How about ‘Nam or the sand boxes of the world?
When sight seeing helos land and take off at the Grand Canyon or on the islands of Hawai’i, are there fire engines on stand by?
This is an old military request that dates back 30 or more years when the military assisted local EMS in so-called “life flights.”
Reasoning? Military craft were known to leak AV gas, esp the early Hueys.
The Bell’s, Leonardo’s, Sikorskys, MD helos, Robinsons and Airbus ‘copters of today do not leak! They have fuel cells that minimize leakage; therefore do not need an engine company at an LZ for a leaky helo!
I know this is going to be a bone of contention when PFD members read this, but they continue to use “life flight stand bys” to keep their calls for service numbers up; nothing more! Volunteer companies copy the Pitts and do the same thing.
As I speak, there are 5 so-called “life flight” ops in my County, plus an SP air wing, Homeland Security, USAF SAR helos (UH 60s) and fire fighting helos from contractors (CH 47s, SK-64’s, Ericson Skycranes and the Bell 200 series.) The county is the size of Rhode Island. These companies do not require a FD stand by! The cops, EMS and mostly, the contractor ground crew are trained to set up an LZ and “stand by.”
I have personally had the pleasure of flying with some of these professionals and they laughed at the fact of a fire dept wasting such a valuable resource at every launch and recovery mission.
Yet, in the Pitts, “That’s the way we’ve always done it, Godammit!” (127 years of service).

Children are expendable and there will always be more where they came from, she exclaimed. But scooter cash needs to be raked in while the sun shines..

On the issue of abortion, the united states of ameriKa is not any more humane when it comes to the grim fate of unwanted babies/children than the horrors suffered by the innocent babies/children of Romanian orphanages. May I suggest you and your followers read up on it. You can start with what happens when the government, any government, including the government of ameriKa outlaws abortion, limited or denies birth control, and forces women to give birth to babies they don’t want, they’re not going to love, nurture, feed, diaper or protect. But they are going to exploit their babies for all the FREE government handouts while others are exploiting the unwanted innocent babies for the Adoption Bonuses. Adoption and Legal Guardianship Incentives AWARD Given to States / States receive; $5,000 per child for improving the number of foster child adoption; $4,000 per child for improving the number of foster child guardianships. $10,000 per child for improving the number of older child adoption and older foster child guardianships. States, DSS/DCF/CPS /18 Degrees RECEIVE bonuses $$$$$$$$$$$ for separating mothers from their babies, and babies from their mothers. Adoption Bonuses: The Money Behind the Madness / For every child DSS can gets adopted, there is a bonus of $4,000 to $6,000, and that’s just the beginning of it. There are NO INSENTIVES to keep birth mothers and their babies together. Baby Kristoff wasn’t any safer than the unwanted abandoned babies in Romanian Orphanages. 30 Years Ago Romania Deprived Thousands of Babies of Human Contact. In February 18, 2020, in the united states of ameriKa, in Adams Massachusetts, 10 mouth old Baby Kristoff was denied care, compassion and human contact as he suffered to death, alone. There were several sets of DCF eyes on Baby Kristoff, but none of them cared about him enough to take care of him, because there’s always going to be more Baby Kristoffs’ where he came from.

CIH this all happened with abortion being available. As is the media’s typical way the are not accurate in their reporting. The Supreme Court is looking at if abortion laws are federal or state control according to the Constitution. States will still be able to allow it if they so choose. Any time government gets involved in anything it’s usually a mess. Let us go to the polls and vote out the big government candidates.

Re: Mayor Linda Tyer’s public testimony in Boston belies her actions in Pittsfield politics

Mayor Linda Tyer’s highlighted testimony at the Boston State House today (Monday, May 9th, 2022, as reported by Matthew Medsger in the Boston Herald): Pittsfield Mayor Linda Tyer said her city [Pittsfield] has shovel ready projects just waiting for the money to move along. [Please tell us what the shovel ready projects are, Mayor Linda Tyer]. “The FORWARD act has the potential to transform my city and all of your communities, please pass the FORWARD act,” she said. [Please tell us how the FORWARD act will transform distressed Pittsfield into anything other than the nightmare Pittsfield has become in 2022, Mayor Linda Tyer]. The bill sets aside $750 million for clean energy projects, $970 million downtown revitalization, sends $300 million to the unemployment fund, and $270 million in affordable housing affiliated programs and grants.

My thoughts on Mayor Linda Tyer’s testimony to state lawmakers are that she herself is not allowing any public input and oversight from Pittsfield residents with her municipal administration’s secretive spending of her administration’s over $41 million in “Biden Bucks”, yet she is providing her own testimony to the corrupt career state lawmakers in Boston to spend $2.3 billion from the American Rescue Plan Act. What a double standard!

Why doesn’t Mayor Linda Tyer ever practice what she preaches in Pittsfield politics and beyond? Her failed public record includes Pittsfield’s Level 5 public school district, Pittsfield always being in the top 10 cities by population in Massachusetts for violent crime each and every year, municipal budgets with the second highest commercial tax rate in the state, recurring record high municipal taxes, fees, debts and other liabilities, the mostly vacant and totally polluted almost 24-year-old PEDA debacle with millions of dollars in always growing financial debts and other liabilities, her administration sitting on tens of millions of dollars in “Biden Bucks” plus Matt Kerwood’s excessive multimillion dollar slush funds, her reputation as being inaccessible to the people who live in Pittsfield, her and her multimillionaire CPA third husband Barry Clairmont living in a mansion in an elitist Gated Community within a few feet of the Hancock border in a distressed city with severe economic inequality, and so on.

Also, Beacon Hill should NOT still be sitting on billions of dollars in state surplus cash plus billions of dollars in “Biden Bucks”. Both Mayor Linda Tyer and state lawmakers should have had their respective 5-year “Biden Bucks” spending plans in place nearly one year ago. But instead of using the huge sums of public dollars in an open and transparent way, both Pittsfield politics and Boston politics allows all of the public dollars to still sit around do little to nothing so that they can promise to put wings on pigs so that they can fly instead of using the public dollars to invest in the people, families and communities who need the public dollars the most.

Very good points Jonathon. Smart people are not just leaving Pittsfield but actually fleeing. It is that bad right now and only trending further down.

“Get out if you can”, is a common refrain sung by financial managers across the city. Pittsfield is no place to try to nuture a nest egg. Taxes and fees will devour that nest egg like a case of parasitic intestinal worms

JM I agree with you that the current mayor of Pittsfield is no friend to the taxpaying citizens of Pittsfield. She pays her special interests so she gets re-elected and invited to all these important events/parties. The city should put the ARPA money into the $70 million sewer/water project. Economics tells people during inflationary times with product shortages spending on new projects should stop and paying down debt should be the goal. Why doesn’t our government follow this simple economic theory? BTW on a side note I just came back from grocery shopping and filling up my gas tank so I want to thank Brandon for making me lighter by taking all my money out of my pocket.

As Biden said during the Correspondents Dinner, “They keep calling me this guy named Brandon. Who is he? I don’t get it.” Biden keeps playing stupid, and in many ways we know he is cognitively challenged, but he knows enough that the public is very unhappy with him, but he does nothing to change his extreme policies on everything. Linda Tyer is, of course, part of this far left agenda and never pushes back against it.

I went to fill up and the pump had three stickers on it, I only encountered the first prior to this:

-Brandon “I did that!”

-Pelousey “I helped!”

-Kamala “I just suck!”

“Across all four western Massachusetts counties, 2,836 people faced homelessness one night in February. That’s an increase from last year. The number of chronically homeless people more than doubled.

The reasons are known. The solutions remain elusive.“

This bs from the eagle. They forget to mention that in Pittsfield over 400 people were brought here from the metro Boston and Worcester areas to live in underused hotels. A majority of those people stayed. Thanks Tyer, Hinds, and TFB.

Next time you see Flat Tyer, Hinds End, and Tricia Farley-Country Buffet (D), remember they told you how great this grant money from Boston was. It is making Pittsfield vibrant, dynamic, and inclusive, to eastern MA and beyond.

What none of them told you was, the “inclusive clause,” added drug addicts in recovery/half-way houses from Boston/Worcester, POC fam’s of relatives locked up at BC jail, and of course, the “houseless.”

When are you unveiling your “houseless plan,” Pete White? Or is that only a campaign “promise?”

I think the Eagle needs a proof reader. Two glaring errors on the front page alone.

by the way, do you happen to know the name of the person who did that count that one cold dark night in February, and exactly what was the methodology? Was there like a guy walking through all the forests in Western Massachusetts counting people? I mean that sounds like tough work especially in the Pioneer Valley area where the mountains are fairly steep. Even Santa does not have to truck through the woods. And so he counted 2836 people but given the challenges I am guessing he missed a few. Might want to bump that number up to an even 3000.

True. No begging bums at every other traffic light, until the D-Rats exported them to the Berkshires under the guise of their scamdemic.

I remember downtown, upstreet, North Street, the Kameo, and the Strand, Lidos, and the Rosa, to name a few. From World War 2 to the present day, I have supported our so-called downtown area. No more! I’m done. A few days ago I did a very quick transaction at a West Street bank. I parked in an area off West Street. There were 3 autos in a line that were legally parked. I went to a space in front of them. No interference with the walkway and no interference with a cutoff for a parking lot. There is no parking sign there. Half of my car was in the approved parking area. The other half did extend into the no parking area. I was just another car in a line. And I got nailed for a $30.00 fine. A month ago I was having brunch with 6 people at a Park Square restaurant. It was crowded and there was a short delay. I came out to find a warning sign on my car. And we’re trying to rejuvenate a dying former business district. Well, the area got the last breath from me. I’ll take my business to Coltsville or Lenox.

Sarcasm: I thought Pittsfield’s distressed downtown rivaled Paris, France, London, U.K., NYC, and L.A. I didn’t know that downtown Pittsfield’s former business district of the long ago 1950s & 1960s post-WW2 era is really part of Gregory Crewdson’s large photos in his art exhibits in London, NYC & L.A. called: “Pittsfield: A City in Decay”. Postindustrial Pittsfield’s politicians have been and are still full of more HOT AIR than the corrupt career politicians in the Swamp touting their MAGA crap and Green New Deal nonsense. If it possible for Matt Kerwood to harness all of the HOT AIR, he would be able to more efficiently burn a hole in the fictional/proverbial Mary Jane & Joe Kapanski’s purse strings. How about that Rolodex, Jimmy Ruberto? How about that Vibrant and Dynamic tagline, Linda Tyer? If Pittsfield politics is a metaphor of our country’s future, then we are all screwed. In closing, Beacon Hill lawmakers should commission a Pittsfield scratch ticket to symbolize the plight of state and local politics in Massachusetts.

Chuck, you admit 1/2 of your car was in a no parking zone and yet you are surprised you got a ticket? Why? Did you leave a note on the windshield for the parking attendant saying I’m here supporting downtown, so therefore don’t ticket me? I’ll never come back if you do your job and ticket me for illegal parking? Or did you let them know you are Dan Valenti’s idol and therefore get an exemption?

How much did you take on the PPP loan again?

Funny CPA’s and the like, couldn’t continue to work at home during the scamdemic.

But then again, most CPA’s probably aren’t part of a neighborhood vigilante group. Patrolling the Cumby’s p-lot at 3AM, on a cold, snowy, Sunday night. Making sure the “houseless” were behaving.

The main cause of death for people ages 18 – 45 in the United States is Fentanyl. This is so disgusting and could have been avoided if we didn’t have open borders thanks to Joe Biden.

Andrea “Is there a book I can read on how to be a DA” Harrington did not want to send any staff to this week’s annual Massachusetts prosecutors conference. The progressive DA’s have their own ideas about training and do not want their prosecutors or victim witness advocates learning how to best put away bad guys or support victims. In their world, the criminal is the victim. However, there was a protest and Berkshire district attorney’s office staff are now attending. Make what you will of this. Harrington can’t even enforce her own policies among people who serve her completely at her will. Relations with other law enforcement county wide are completely broken down. Not one pol has spoken out in her defense regarding her many public misteps and mismanagements. Harrington is in real political trouble.
