Your sarcasm and irony make a good point, but miss the point that the injustices of the past do need to be addressed and rectified to the best of our ability.

If you want to know who the liberal progressives are in the county, check out section A8 of this past Saturday’s Eagle. These are the people contributing to the newspaper’s “Local Journalism Fund” because the paper needs money to support basic services.
The paper continues to backup just about every idea coming out of the corner office of our invisible mayor. She has obviously adopted the Biden “hide in the basement” program.

and he could possibly pull out a victory. Most people will just stay home if Krol and Marchetti are the only choices.
Early polling has Marchetti getting 7 total votes (all family) and Krol getting 34, (good old boys looking for a payday) Everyone else says they would not waste their gas.

Could this unavoidable scheduling problem be that he needs to see a doctor? The man is 90 years old. John Kerry, another Davos member, is 79 and looks every year of it. Klaus Schwab is 84. Can these elderly think of anything better to do than try to destroy the world before they take their leave of it?

NEWS ARTICLE: “A meeting on what to do with Pittsfield’s $17 million in free cash has been postponed”
The Berkshire Eagle Staff, January 16, 2023

PITTSFIELD — A City Council subcommittee meeting that would have focused on what to do with the city’s unprecedented amount in free cash has been postponed.

The meeting, which was set for 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, will be rescheduled for a later date according to Council President Peter Marchetti. The meeting was postponed due a family emergency of a city official.

When the subcommittee reconvenes, councilors will discuss a proposal by Mayor Linda Tyer asking the council to approve placing $6 million of the city’s $17 million in free cash into two separate stabilization accounts and the other post-employment benefits account.

The proposal would direct $2 million to the general stabilization account, $2 million to the public works stabilization account and $2 million to OPEB fund, which covers the cost of benefits, primarily health insurance, for municipal retirees.

Councilors on the subcommittee will vote on whether they will recommend the proposal to the greater City Council before the plan comes to the full body for a vote.

Black people aborted MLK’s dream before it ever took a breath and continue to abort it. I don’t doubt for one second that there was a time when colored people got the short end of the stick. But that was just as true for everyone who got off the boats at Ellis Island. Black people will not be content and will continue to violently cannibalize their own. And they only have themselves to blame for that.

Bottom of the ninth, two out bases loaded. The Pittsfield Red Sox are trailing 5 to 2 Coming up to the plate is George Scott, the count is 3 and 2. Here’s the pitch Scott hits a lowering drive to deep right center field and outta here. The Sox win!!!!

I miss my Pittsfield Red Sox team of years gone by. One of the finest memories a kid could have in that era. Until we can get a Red Sox farm team the Park will never work.

Gaetani is no slouch and he has the résumé and accomplishments to prove it.He is looking forward to many debates and the G-man has many ideas to improve the lives of city residents. His primary goals are reduced property and rate taxes which he says are choking the residents. H will use his popular PC TV show, the Gaetani Pittsfield News Hour to detail his efforts for the city of Pittsfield residents.

Spin article about how Steve Valenti is going to keep his business on North street. The spin part is the attempted slant that since one business is STAYING on North street, juxtaposed with all those LEAVING, that North street is now somehow experiencing an incredible revival.

Did anyone else read it like that or did I miss something?

PITTSFIELD — The owners of The Flat Burger Society plan to close their small eatery on McKay Street by the end of the month.
Austin Oliver, who co-owns the space with Joad Bowman, said the ideas the two men had for that space didn’t pan out. The Flat Burger Society, which also featured live music and comedy acts, opened in the summer of 2021.

The price of the building seems very low in my opinion so good for them as they probably will save a couple grand a month overhead if they can keep
It rented but after reading this I decided it was time to go back and see what they have after not going in for about four years. Last time I was there they didn’t have what I needed and for this reason or that I just haven’t gone back but I had always been satisfied. . Before this I usually shopped there once a year and maybe spend between $500-$1000 per trip. This time my intentions were to get a couple
Pairs of shoes and maybe a few new shirts, unfortunately both days were a little cold and rainy so after seeing the only parking place blocked by a double
Parked UPS truck one day and no spaces the next combined with me not wanting to walk far in the cold wet weather I passed on going because after all I guess I really don’t
Have an urgency for what I intended on buying. My point. Steven Valenti is a really great store and their commitment to north street is commendable but I’d bet they would do more business if they moved to a location that had a parking lot dedicated to them. No slam on north street except for this parking in the winter months with our berkshire weather. Good luck Steve.

Just returned from a trip and have to say it was nice not to be accosted at every red light for a buck or to be hit up for cash as soon as I get out of my car at McKay St. I couldn’t figure out why this area I was in didn’t have organized panhandling, the weather was definitely better to be outside in. Well Pittsfield seems to be pondering spending $54 million that they have their hands on ($17 million free cash and $37 million ARPA). I know they won’t listen to this writer but the best thing they can do for the children and the future is to use the cash to pay down their debts that THEY created.

Meanwhile, while all you cats are discussing the things you can’t possibly change or know, such as the number of depend undergarments Soros packed on his trip to the alps….

AP-MRF is pleased to announce a successful strike! Shoulder to shoulder, we stood planted into the earth. Just one victory no matter what the cost!

Early this morning, before the first gray slats of light broke the horizon, a well place artillary round found its mark. The abomination of Martin Luther King’s memory in the form a a post-modern formalist expression of bronze hate rang dull and with a groan collapsed into the park. We await a fresh contract for a sculpture based on Western Civilation’s concept of Form, proportion expressing the dignity of the human body and its inner divine spark.

MLK is rolling over……

Did you see the 10 million dollar bronze turd they put up in Boston?

“Seneca Scott, a community organizer in Oakland, California, and cousin of Coretta Scott King, wrote an op-ed for Compact Mag condemning the obscene statue of MLK and Scott King that stands in Boston.
He described the new statue as a “masturbatory ‘homage’ to my family.”
“Pretty wild how they sculpted the MLK statue to look like a different sex act, hole, or bodily function from every angle. Impressive”

Who do you need to contact to have the Federal Government audit how the city has spent the ARPA money? I think this should happen fast because I feel it would be prudent before their next big spend!! Also for our Transparent Mayor the meeting notes for this secret committee should be posted.

Pittsfield could get hit with another one of those impossible to deal with snow/ice storms Thursday afternoon into Friday. Because the city has not completed its in depth study and report on a similar recent incomprehensible weather pattern, citizens may once again be left to fend for themselves.

I suppose the safe thing to do is stay home until they figure out what happened and why and can buy new trucks, special salt and train crews. Not sure if all this stuff will be here for this storm or not. Sometimes it takes time but it should be here for next winter thank God.
But does anyone have the phone number for the head of the DPW in Gt Barrington so we could call them and see what they do in such dire situations? How about Richmond or Dalton or Hindsdale or Lenox or Lee or Alford or Greenfield or Northhampton?

Consider this your robo call cuz the local system is obviously busted..
